Warning: Spoilers
To begin with let me tell u all that this episode is really something and it talks about an important issue which is building a new building and forced people who are living there to go to another place and if they won't agree the have to die cause they are nothing.

This story has been told a lot by different films but here there is something magical i don't know what it is.

The sound track is superb & by the way the story is very touching cause it deals with ( Crime Alley ) the same place where Bruce Wayne Mom and Dad where killed , and this brings more fire to the screen.

just watch the final scene it is very touching and it still make me cry every time i see it .

One of the most beloved episodes since i was a little kid and after all these years it still gives me the same feeling

An appointment worth keeping

Warning: Spoilers
We've all seen the basic premise of 'Appointment in Crime Alley' before - jerk developer resorts to dynamite to clear out resistant tenants - but tying it into a personal Bruce story does a lot to liven things up. Then again, so does having Batman be sidetracked by people to rescue. I always liked the scene where he stops a runaway trolley. I got a kick out of that as a teenager.

The guest stars are great, and I really like Dr. Thompkins; she's a strong female character and a solid rock in Bruce's life. And (spoiler alert) letting the bad guy get away with it shows that Batman can stop a train, but he can't right every wrong.

The best part of this episode was Bruce Wayne working out. That was really hot!

I think this is my least enjoyed episode of the series so far. The runaway trolley scene is exciting but it feels like filler to make up for a cliche and lacklustre story. I didn't feel emotionally connected to the story regarding Batman's parents or the displacement of people from Crime Alley.

A Too-Familiar Theme

This wasn't one of the better stories, one reason being it's a tired story, one I've seen on many TV shows and movies: a developer wants to build some place and have the people of the neighborhood live elsewhere. They always make the people all nice mothers and old ladies and homeless and harmless guys and the developer into a ruthless villain. It's really become a cliché.

That's the story with the one, which has special significance for Batman because "Crime Alley" is where he saw his parents murdered. (You'd think he'd like to get the area cleaned up and changed!)

Roland Dagget (Edward Asner) is the villain developer and he has help from "Mr. Nitro" who is good at blowing things up. The suspense comes in when an explosion is supposed to wipe out some of the neighborhood and whether Batman can prevent (as if he doubted the final result). Speaking of explosives, I'm not surprised an episode which includes Asner is sub-par since everything he's done post-"Lou Grant" TV days has been a bomb.

There was one good scene with the Batmobile and trolley car headed toward a big collision on steep streets which sure looked like San Francisco.
