Carol's guests are singer Mel Torme, comic Don Rickles, and sketch actress Nanette Fabray. Carol and Nanette play pregnant women happy to find a hot young intern at their doctor's office Don chews scenery as an abrasive shoe salesman at Harvey's store. The entire cast performs a musical spoof titled "The Tin Pan Alley Story". In other sketches, Rickles plays a quick-tempered shoe salesman who assails indecisive customer Fabray with a barrage of insults; Carol joins Nanette in a skit about two pregnant wives who meet at the doctor's office. Miss Fabray performs "Listen to Your Momma". Mel Torme's solo is "Take a letter, Miss Jones".
