Storyline

After Frasier suggests that she change her hair style, Lilith does get a new hairdo. Can it get any worse than her tight as a wound bun? Meanwhile, it's Norm's birthday and among his gifts is a Boston Celtics jacket personally delivered by Kevin McHale. Before Kevin leaves the bar, he gets caught up in the typical trivia talk of Norm and Cliff, namely how many bolts there are in the Boston Garden basketball court. Carla warns Kevin of the obsessive power of bar trivia, but she's too late. Kevin is obsessed with knowing the number of bolts, which no one can tell him conclusively. He's up in the middle of the night wondering, but what's worse, his basketball skills plummet as he's busy counting the bolts rather than paying attention to the game. Sam, Norm, Cliff and Woody decide to go to the Garden to count the bolts so that Kevin can get back on track. Will they be able to find out conclusively the number of bolts to save the Celtics? Or will they make the situation even worse by their... Written by Huggo

Goofs

The guys have just watched the end of the Celtics game on TV. After the game ending buzzer, they briefly discuss why Kevin McHale played so badly during the game. They then return attention to the TV for a post-game interview with McHale. This interview begins approximately 20 seconds after the game ending buzzer and yet the background of the TV shot reveals the stadium's seats to be all but empty with only a small handful of people in a shot that shows a large portion of the seating. Quotes

[the gang is talking about Kevin McHale's obsession with bar trivia, Carla who is blaming Norm and Cliff in particular]
Carla Tortelli-LeBec: You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. You're like vampires - big butted, do-nothing vampires. And now you're trying to make Kevin one of your recruits. Well, I say it's got to stop. I'm not going to let you screw up his career.
Sam Malone: Come on. Lighten up, will ya. It's just Kevin's getting a little carried away with bolts, that's all.
Carla Tortelli-LeBec: Yeah, sure Sammy. Today it's how many bolts are ...

Are You Board?
7 September 2019 | by HitchcocSee all my reviews

Kevin McHale shows up again. He gives Norm a Celtics jacket for his birthday. This leads to a discussion of how many bolts there are in the Boston Garden which leads to the gang going to the Garden to count. But things go awry. I don't know if I cared much for this. I've been a huge Celtic fan my whole life, but there's too much celebrity in this one.
