Just a Standard Clip Show
This is a clip show that only features the girls at the very beginning. The wrap-around scenes are basically a monologue for Paul Kreppel as he reminisces while fretting about his impending demise: he inadvertently ended up going out with a mobster's bimbo girlfriend.
We see montages of Dot's wacky excuses; Amy's cornpone sayings; Cassie's sexcapades; Jan's wisdom; Nancy's insults to Sonny; Howard's grumblings; and Sonny's musical moments.
Sonny's best line: "I'd like to be the 'Cassie' of men - she's had more fun than anybody."
Since Cassie was like the Florence Jean Castleberry of this show, it's too bad they didn't give her a big send-off in her final episode like they did with Flo on ALICE.
Classic TV fans will recognize Carmine Caridi as Mr. Martelli on FAME and Cloris Leachman's boss on her PHYLLIS spin-off.
With the advent of DVDs and streaming, clip shows like this have basically become useless.
