Trivia

This episode was taped just three days after David Faustino's 18th birthday, which means that even though he was technically underage while rehearsing a scene in which Bud Bundy is seduced by his 40-year-old teacher who, in real life, celebrated her 42nd birthday just one day after this episode was taped, David had reached legal age just in time for the producers to avoid any law enforcement matters. Quotes

Al Bundy: I'm afraid it may not be you she's after. I'm afraid she might be after the vast Bundy fortune. She wants everything we have.
Bud: Dad, I've seen the trunk of her car, she's got everything we have.
Al Bundy: It's still not right. Son, you got plenty of time to date 40-year-old women when you're 70, no wait, make that uh hmmm 35 when you're 80, yeah feels more right to me.

Bud has two Dates!
11 December 2009 | by SylviastelSee all my reviews

Finally, Al gets to eat at Chuck E Cheese's restaurant and pizzeria as long as he pretends that he's with the kid's birthday party. At first, the D'Arcys feel sorry for the dateless Bud as everybody else. Anyway, he believes this his 40 year old teacher has the hots for him so he gets a date with her and another student played by Charlotte Ross. When things start to fall apart as they usually do in Bud's life, he confides in his father, Al, who makes things a hundred times worse by alerting the authorities. The only problem is that the teacher is replaced by Mrs. A. Mariner who Al describes as somebody who hasn't been 40 since 1840 and embarrasses him in the classroom. Of course, it could all be a dream too.
