Entrepreneur Ben Devlin arrives in Cabot Cove and instantly knocks local Eve Simpson off her feet, the village is also under the spell of personal trainer
Wayne Bennett.
There's always something a little extra about the episodes set in Cabot Cove, even more so when the locals appear, Eve in particular, she was a cracking character, lots of fun, and always full of gossips and scandals. Maybe a shame that the other ladies from the beauty parlour are absent.
It works very well as a mystery, you are made to wait to learn the identity of the killer, and there are no huge leaps here, the conclusion is very satisfying, with Jessica's revelation feeling reasonable and believable.
Despite the obvious humour and chuckles, there is a slightly serious tone as well, especially in the scene where the truth comes out.
8/10.
