Petrocelli's a crook?!
planktonrules28 February 2020
This episode of "Petrocelli" has an interesting distinction...it wasn't shown on TV even though it had been completed. This is because the show was being killed in the ratings by both "Starsky and Hutch" and "The Blue Knight"...and it was so bad that the last three episodes of the show were never aired...though I did find this one on YouTube.

When the story begins, Petrocelli is taken off a case by the judge because there have been allegations that this lawyer tried to buy off a witness. Of course this didn't happen...and it's obvious something is up because a couple goons guard the complainant at all times and they get mighty nasty when Petrocelli or his wife try asking the woman any questions. Obviously something's going on here...and it somehow has something to do with a construction company and their affiliated loan company.

This episode is actually better than most...which makes it a shame it wasn't originally aired. The only real negative is that the witness recants her claims very quickly and inexplicably...and it felt almost like a scene was missing because of this. On the plus side, there are lots of surprises and for once the show does NOT follow its normal formula! In fact, had it aired earlier, it might have helped keep the show going just a bit longer....or not.
