Alternate Versions

In the original home video releases (laserdisc, VHS, etc.), when the birthday guests sing "Happy Birthday", the song is replaced with a generic sound-alike titled "Something Different" due to music licensing issues. "Happy Birthday" was restored on DVD and all later home video releases. Incidentally, as of June 2016, the song "Happy Birthday" is now in the public domain, so there are no more music licensing issues involved with it. See more »
