An old friend of Vint's has been jailed after being caught with a band of rustlers, and is likely to be hanged if he doesn't tell where the other rustlers are. But he is unwilling to because he fears that his compatriots will harm his deaf-mute daughter if they think he's told on them. Written by rbecker28
Great episode of "The Restless Gun"! James Coburn is superb as the low-life bad guy, "Vestry". Denver Pyle puts in a great performance. As a bonus, we are introduced to Julie Payne, the real-life daughter of leading man John Payne ("Vint Bonner"). She plays the potential hostage / daughter of captured rustler Sean McGiven (actor Onslow Stevens).
Can Vint Bonner rescue Peggy McGiven (actress Julie Payne) from Vestry (actor James Coburn) and his accomplices? Can he convince Peggy that he is on her side, and not just another bad guy? Will Sean McGiven (actor Onslow Stevens) hang for his part in the rustling?
Lots of suspense, fisticuffs, and gunfire make this an enjoyable 25 minute Western TV show.
