- Carrie finds out the guy she is dating is bisexual, and because of him, she explores the bisexual community for the first time.
- Charlotte's gallery scores a big hit with the works of the artist Baird Johnson, rare even for New Yorkers' almost un-shockable standards: drag kings, women completely dressed-up as men; Baird, himself a gentleman, even gets conservative WASP lady Charlotte to pose for him, his way. Samantha was looking for an assistant, but one look on sexy stud Matt decided her mind in his favor; his professionally unacceptable arrogant attitude to her PR clients still gets him fired, but both are immediately eager to start jumping each-other's bones now are they no longer ethically barred. Carrie's boyfriend Sean isn't just young enough to be more boy then her others friends, he's also openly bisexual, which starts her wondering if gender is a dying concept. Miranda is back with Steve and gave him a key, but really wrestles with his tendency to 'invade' her apartment territory, such as sleeping with his head touching 'her' pillow.—KGF Vissers
- Carrie dates a twenty-something man Sean (Eddie Cahill) who's openly bisexual. Sean is funny, sexy and charming. Carrie is afraid all bisexual guys eventually end up gay. Samantha says that Sean is hot as he is open to sexual experimentation. Miranda calls him greedy as he is double dipping.
Sean tells Carrie that he is not gay. He had 3 major relationships, one of which turned out to be with a guy. They have sex that night. Sean takes her to a birthday party of his ex-boyfriend Mark. Turns out Mark has a gay partner, who was earlier married to a girl named Dawn (Alanis Morissette). Dawn is now a lesbian and married to another girl. Carrie cannot figure out the sexual orientation of anyone who is invited to this party. They play spin the bottle and when the bottle lands on her, Carrie kisses Dawn. Carrie likes it. Carrie breaks up with Sean as she knows that she is too old to play the sexual orientation game.
Miranda deals with personal issues when Steve proposes moving in with her. Miranda loves Steve inside her, just not inside her apartment. Miranda is already timing her visits to her own apartment so that she does not run into Steve as she needs some alone time. Steve wants to move in so he can spend more time with Miranda, and she panics. Miranda says that they are moving too fast and that they are not ready for a big step like that. Steve is offended at Miranda's excuses and leaves.
She is worried that she will never be a girly girl, as most girls dream about a guy wanting to love in. Miranda knows that she loves Steve. She arrives home to an empty apartment and didn't like it. Miranda invites Steve over for dinner and explains that she never had a room mate before. She can't cook, drops stuff, loves the remote, is stubborn, doesn't do laundry for 2 weeks and is scared that Steve will see all that and will move away from her. Steve promises that he is not going anywhere.
Charlotte hosts an artist Baird (Donovan Leitch Jr.) at her gallery. She hosts a show for the same artist earlier with his drag Kings theme (women dressed and posing and men), and it's a runaway success. Charlotte is attracted to Baird but can't ask him out as she is nervous about making the first move. Baird asks Charlotte to pose for him as a drag king. He convinces Charlotte by saying that every woman has a man inside of her. Charlotte gets hot after putting a sock in her pants (for the bulge) and sleeps with Baird.
Samantha locks heads with her new twenty-something male assistant Matt (Chris Tardio). She hired him because of his good looks. But Matt is rude to her clients and its impacting Samantha's image. Matt calls her clients "bitches" and insists that by taking the power handle he will ensure that Samantha's clients are more respectful to her. Samantha is incredibly attracted to Matt. She fires Matt and then sleeps with him.
