- The girls worry about long-term change. Miranda hears from her gynecologist that one of her ovaries is 'lazy', and worries therefore is she can still take her time being picky with men before going for motherhood. Charlotte hits on well with charming pastry chef Stephan, but consults the girls and guy friend Stanford if he is gay, or at least 'half'. Carrie worries if Big is serious about them since he seems too 'territorial' to allow any of her stuff permanently in his apartment. - Carrie tries to leave her mark at Big's place by leaving some personal items behind. After all this time she was still carrying around her underpants in her bag, before spending the night with him. Charlotte says that a little bit of mystery is a good thing. But Samantha wants Carrie to fight for her space in his apartment. She starts slow, with a hair dryer. Slowly she has a lot of stuff in Big's cupboard. For the first time she took at dump in Big's bathroom. Charlotte is horrified as she calls it the end of romance. Samantha says that this is why she only dates rich men, who have large apartments. Big brings all of Carrie's stuff back to her apartment. He says his perfect relationship is where the guy and the girl have their own place and are happy in it. Carrie finds a photo of her and Big together in Big's drawer. Suddenly she is happy as she doesn't have to worry about leaving stuff behind. Carrie is already in Big's apartment.
Miranda finds out that one of her ovaries has stopped producing eggs. She believes that even her ovaries have given up hope that Miranda will ever get married and have kids. She goes on a date with Joseph Adler (Harry O'Reilly), her colleague from work. Joseph was bald and got hair plus. Miranda had refused Joseph twice before, but now she was down to her last ovary and decided that she was not in a position to refuse men on the basis of their hair plugs. Miranda mentions she is taking hormones for her lazy ovary and is considering freezing her eggs. It removes the whole biological clock issue. Joseph suggests that maybe some people are not supposed to pro-create and this is nature's way of weeding out the weak. He calls it a ridiculous abuse of science.
Charlotte dates Stephan Bodean (Dan Futterman), a pastry chef who she mistakenly thought was gay but is, in his own words, a "gay straight man". Charlotte finds the answer when Stephan kisses her, deeply. A Gay straight is a straight man with over exposure to fashion. A Straight gay is a guy into sports, who just won't have sex with you. Stephan is into fashion and cooks delicious delicacies. At the same time, he French kisses Charlotte. Charlotte can't classify Stephan yet. So, she calls in the girls, Stanford and Carrie. Stanford thinks Stephan is straight and into Charlotte. Charlotte sleeps with Stephan and concludes he is straight (2 orgasms).
The next morning, Stephan isn't able to get a mouse out of the house which is stuck in a glue trap. He is as afraid as Charlotte. She dumps him.
Samantha tries to get revenge on Dominic Delmonico (John Shea) (A publishing magnate), her ex, her one and only true love, who broke her heart. Samantha loved him, but he dumped her for an Icelandic model named Anka. Now Anka is divorcing Dominic and taking him for everything he has got. Samantha ran into Dominic at a bar. She agrees to meet him for a date and wears a little black dress in which she looks stunning. She plans to drop him cold, just before he tries to move towards sex. But she ends up sleeping with him. Before Samantha can dump Dominic, he dumps her as he and Anka have decided to give it another shot.
