An average episode. Valerie introduces David to a friend's daughter and he falls for her, but she doesn't feel the same and dumps him. There is a good scene where Valerie consoles David after she figures out what's happened but doesn't embarrass him by saying so.
This is the first appearance of Edie McClurg as Mrs. Poole. She brings Valerie a Jello-mold. Valerie has a funny line after Mrs. Poole leaves.
