Ben has a new camera. Erin walks in the room with shorts and cute top. She poses coyly, and he takes a picture. The picture becomes a pin-up for the soldiers at Camp Lee. Since losing Curt, Mary Ellen is overly protective of John Curtis.
Momma and Daddy Walton are understandably concerned about Erin's status as a pin-up girl. Soon, however, letters from the soldiers arrive describing their homesickness and the comfort they take in the picture, and the whole family agrees to help Erin to answer the letters.—Shannon PD
