Syrup is a film about gender equality.. masquerading as a mediocre tutorial on ruthless marketing. If women really wanted a level playing field in the battle of the sexes.. they would support normalizing and decriminalizing prostitution. Shiloh Fernandez, the transgender woman playing the "male" lead, is a nice touch, by the way.
