This episode survives only as a 16mm tele-recording, recovered from a television station in Cyprus circa 1985. Prior to this, a print was returned to the BBC, by a private collector in May 1982.
Whilst this is the final episode of the 1st Season of Doctor Who, production continued a further 10 weeks to record the following two stories which were later decided to be held back to open the second season of the series, as such Carol Ann-Ford never did any dedicated filming for the second season.
This Episode presents the historical event of Robespierre's arrest, however it doesn't make it clear what happened, as after the gunshot he's seen being dragged away bleeding from the jaw, whilst in reality he was shot in the jaw its unknown what exactly happened, some say it was self inflicted whilst others say it was done by a soldier to shut him up.
This episode takes place in France in July 1794.
