- There is one scene where a girl wakes up her uncle, who seems to be hungover on his mother's couch. He also smokes throughout the film. Two young teenagers (a boy and a 12-year-old girl) smoke cigarettes. Later the girls' dad lets her split one with him, but they each manage just one puff.

- The whole theme of the movie is about the kids' mother dying--and they don't know it; so that is very sad. (I'm a guy and i cried like a baby!)
