Liam Neeson Still Thinks He'll Retire from Action Movies, But He's Got a Few More First

Liam Neeson Still Thinks He'll Retire from Action Movies, But He's Got a Few More First
Liam Neeson is one of the very best action movie stars of today, but his time in the genre might be coming to a close. Of course, Neeson is very well known for starring in the hit 2008 movie Taken, which stars the actor as a retired CIA operative who utilizes his "very particular set of skills" to save his abducted daughter. He'd reprise that role in multiple sequels and has since appeared as the hero in a variety of other action thrillers, including Non-Stop, Run All Night, and Cold Pursuit.

Reflecting on his work in action movies over the past several years, Liam Neeson seemed to suggest that he might be retiring from the genre as soon as later this year. That's certainly a bummer for fans who love to see Neeson in these kinds of movies, but the good news is he has at least a few more in him.

Liam Cunningham Refused to Let ‘Thrones’ Make Davos Crush on Missandei: ‘I’m Not F*cking Doing It’
Liam Cunningham reveals in the new “Game of Thrones” oral history book “Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon” that he pushed back against the creative team’s pitch to have his character, Ser Davos Seaworth, crush on Missandei of Naath (via Insider). The two characters come face to face in the series’ seventh season. According to Cunningham, an idea was floated around to have Davos attempt to be romantic with Nathalie Emmanuel’s character. Cunningham would’ve been around 56 years old at the time, while Emmanuel was 28.

“There’s a streak in Benioff that’s willful,” Cunningham said. “He likes to stir the shit. When we first meet Daenerys, Benioff and [director Mark Mylod] wanted Davos to have a crush on Missandei. And I fought them. I’m not fucking doing it. It’s the only thing I ever stood up to them on. The woman is a goddess, but with Davos

‘To Your Last Death’ Blu-ray Review
Stars: Morena Baccarin, William Shatner, Ray Wise, Bill Moseley, Damien C. Haas, Dani Lennon, Benjamin Siemon, Florence Hartigan, Austin Bitikofer | Written by Jim Cirile, Tanya C. Klein | Directed by Jason Axinn

Part Archer, part animated digital “motion” comic, the art style of To Your Last Death makes it feel like you’re watching a page of the old Tales From the Crypt come to life in animated form. Though in terms of story To Your Last Death has a lot more in common with the morality plays of British comic strips like The Thirteenth Floor…

After emerging as the sole survivor in a deadly revenge game set up by her dying father to punish his four children, Miriam receives an offer from the Gamemaster, an otherworldly supernatural entity, to go back in time and try again. But the Game master only entraps hapless humans into diabolical conflicts for her species to gamble on the outcome.

Netflix Is Losing A Ton Of Great Movies In October

Netflix Is Losing A Ton Of Great Movies In October
Next month, Netflix is rolling out a ton of great new Halloween-themed content, including a bunch of must-see originals like The Haunting of Bly Manor, A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting and Rebecca. Unfortunately, though, it’s also losing a lot of horror films in October that would’ve made for perfect seasonal viewing.

On October 2nd, both Cult of Chucky – the last Chucky flick before the reboot – and Truth or Dare – that’s the 2017 TV movie, not the 2018 Blumhouse production – are being removed from Netflix’s library. The bulk of the horror titles leaving in October are, ironically, being removed on October 31st, though. So, if you’re hoping to do an Underworld marathon this Halloween or rewatch classics like Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow or The Silence of the Lambs, make sure you don’t leave it until the day itself.

Immortals Fenyx Rising: Release Date and Trailer

Immortals Fenyx Rising: Release Date and Trailer
During a recent digital event, Ubisoft showcased Immortals Fenyx Rising (the game previously known as Gods and Monsters).

The name may be different, but Immortals Fenyx Rising doesn’t appear to have changed in many other major ways since we saw the Gods and Monsters trailer in 2019 (at least on the surface). Both featured colorful environments, an emphasis on mythological monsters, and more than a few reasons to suggest that Ubisoft was trying to make their own Breath of the Wild with a little Assassin’s Creed tossed in.

Based on the footage and impressions that we’ve seen thus far, it does seem that those comparisons are valid. Actually, we can’t emphasize enough just how closely this game resembles Breath of the Wild. From grander concepts to very specific callbacks to Nintendo’s hit, Immortals Fenyx Rising is enough to make Breath of the Wild blush. The game even includes a cooking system.
