This show just continues to astound me in how complex and dark and wonderful it gets with every season, especially for a show on Disney Channel. That TWIST, oh God! With amazing reveals, twists, songs, character development, and animation, this was an amazing way to close the second chapter of Rapunzel's journey.
Wonderful close for the season

Leaving us wanting more, answering questions and yet posing a bunch more. The plot escalates and we are on the edge of our seats more than ever as we wonder what will or won't happen in the story. Just as we believe all has worked out, a final twist prevents the story from closing too early. Well thought out and is unexpected while still fitting well with our story so far. Easy to tell that the crew planned it from the beginning and care deeply about this story.
Trying Too Hard
4 August 2019Warning: Spoilers
Yeah, I'm not a fan of this season finale. The dark and edgy is laid on so thickly that it feels like some poorly written emo fan fiction . The twist of Cassandra becoming evil should not have been saved for the end of the episode. It makes the whole thing pointless. Rapunzel doesn't develop at all, and yet the angst supposedly makes her a more complex character. I felt for Eugene, and the twist with his father is good, but his plot should have been given more time to breathe. This is just terrible.
