Starz has announced the movie and TV titles that will be available on the service in January. The Starz January 2025 schedule includes the last two episodes of Outlander Season 7, setting the stage for the upcoming final season, and the U.S. premiere of The Couple Next Door.

The month also brings a diverse selection of films, including Freedom Hair, Once in a Valentine, Trim Season, Advanced Chemistry, and several other notable titles. On the film front, Starz is the exclusive streaming home to the latest installment in The Hunger Games franchise, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, which joins the Starz app this month along with several other notable titles, including Outlaw Johnny Black, Manodrome, Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, Silent Night, and Nope.

Starz continues to be the home for franchise favorites with Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3, and Jaws: The Revenge, as well as Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, and Little Fockers all joining the Starz app this month.

New York: Following a sold-out, award-winning Hollywood production of Tripping on Life, legendary, Emmy-winning actress Lin Shaye is bringing her solo show to New York City. Directed by Robert Galinsky, Tripping on Life will begin previews on September 8 before its opening night on Monday, September 18, at 6:30 Pm. It will run through October 8, 2023 at Theatre Row, located at 410 West 42 Street.

Tripping on Life is executive produced by Robert Shaye. Robert is the founder of New Line Cinema and was its CEO for many years. He and his company are responsible for some of the most successful franchises in film history, including “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Lord of the Rings.

Lionsgate will be giving the supernatural horror film Devil’s Workshop a theatrical, digital, and VOD release on September 30th, and with just a couple weeks to go until that date arrives we’ve gotten our hands on a red band trailer for the film. You can check it out in the embed above.

Exclusive: Abigail Breslin (Zombieland: Double Tap), Thomas Jane (Predator) and Malin Akerman (Billions) are joining the cast of comedy-horror feature Slayers, previously known as With Teeth.

Oscar-nominee Breslin has taken the lead role in the movie and signed on as a producer. Previously announced cast includes Kara Hayward (Moonrise Kingdom), Lydia Hearst (The Haunting Of Sharon Tate) and Jack Donnelly (Atlantis).

Pic follows a group of internet influencers who are drawn to a reclusive, seductive billionaire’s mansion (Akerman), only to find themselves trapped in the lair of an evil vampire. The only way out is to be saved by a famous online gamer (Hayward) and an old school vampire hunter (Jane). Breslin plays the role of Jules, a smart-mouthed fitness guru who faces off against the vampires.

K. Asher Levin (Cougars Inc) is directing and producing. Breslin will be an on-set producer, working closely with Levin, Daniel Cummings and Zack Imbrogno.

From Pitch Black and Silent Hill to Rogue and The Crazies, Radha Mitchell has played plenty of memorable roles throughout her acting career, and her latest performance as a cognitive behavioral therapist looking to bond with her boyfriend's troubled son in the new movie Dreamkatcher is yet another one to add to the eclectic list.

Featuring a sinister spirit that comes out at night, Dreamkatcher is out now on DVD, Digital, and VOD from Lionsgate, and we caught up with Mitchell to discuss working with the legendary Lin Shaye, executive producing the film in addition to starring in it, the movie's emotional depth, and she also reflects on 2010's The Crazies (a remake of George A. Romero's 1973 film), which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

Arrow Video is keeping busy with their Special Edition Blus for both The Wind and Elvira: Mistress of the Dark and Scream Factory is showing The Last Continent some love, too. La-based Film Mode Entertainment has closed key territories here on its Radha Mitchell horror film Dreamkatcher, led by deals in Europe and Asia.

Metropolitan has picked up the film for France, World Pictures for Cis, Eagle Films for Middle East, Long Shong for Taiwan, and Storm Pictures Korea for South Korea.

Kerry Harris’ feature directorial debut has also gone in the Philippines (Pioneer Films), Benelux (Dutch Filmworks), Indonesia (Rapi Films), Benelux (Dutch Filmworks), Vietnam (Mockingbird), Turkey (Ela Film) and pan-Asian pay-tv (Fox Networks Group Asia Pacific Limited).

"You're both in danger, you need to destroy it!" Lionsgate has released an official trailer for an indie horror thriller titled Dreamkatcher, which is indeed about a haunted dreamcatcher. Not to be confused with the other dreamcatcher horror (from 2003) titled, of course, Dreamcatcher (this new one has a "k" incase you didn't notice). In order to try and stop his bad dreams, a young boy steals a dreamcatcher from a mysterious neighbor forcing his family to rescue him from a nightmarish entity now chasing him. Dreamkatcher is a horror film from the state of New York. Developed by director Kerry Harris and writer Dan V. Shea, this feature stars Radha Mitchell (Silent Hill) as a Manhattan therapist. She travels upstate, when her adopted son begins experiencing nightmares. Then, a strange neighbour appears in the woods, adding to the boy's terror. Dreamkatcher also stars: Lin Shaye (Insidious), Jules Wilcox (Under the Silver Lake) and Joseph Bishara. To show at the European Film Market later this month, a new movie poster and stills are available for this thriller. Some of the stills, from Film Mode Entertainment, show the film's villain. Looking like a night hag, this creature of the night stalks Josh as he sleeps, tempting him to act violently (shown below). In the past, there was a mythical creature called the night hag, which was thought to create sleep paralysis. This myth looks to be taken to an extreme in Dreamkatcher.

Film, TV and media financier BondIt Media Capital has formed a joint venture with sales and production banner Film Mode Entertainment.

The joint venture, unveiled Thursday at the American Film Market, aims to bring a “one-stop solution” to producers that includes financial lending, sales and production services.

The deal was announced by Matthew Helderman, CEO and co-founder of BondIt, and Clay Epstein, president of Film Mode. Bondit has backed “Loving Vincent” and “To the Bone.” Recent Film Mode titles include a reimagining of David Cronenberg’s “Rabid” and “Crypto,” starring Kurt Russell, Alexis Bledel and Luke Hemsworth.

“Clay and the Film Mode team have been a perfect partner for BondIt given their candor and transparency while also following through on strong sales across multiple genres,” said Helderman. “We look forward to building a long-standing partnership as we continue to ramp up our collective production and financing operations.”

There’s a new horror movie project coming that’s currently in production called Dreamkatcher and it’s brought together a pretty great cast that includes Henry Thomas (The Haunting Of Hill House), Lin Shaye (Insidious), and Radha Mitchell (The Romanoffs).

The story follows “a Manhattan therapist (Mitchell) who travels upstate with her boyfriend (Thomas) and his orphaned son who is tormented by nightmares of his dead mother. When the husband is forced to return to the city, the therapist remains with the boy and they encounter a mysterious neighbor (Shaye) in the woods.”
