At First Sight (II) (2019)

At First Sight is a psychological thriller questioning the simple foundations on which we build our lives: laws, rules, money, language and 'love' - do these social constructs limit us or guide us?
James and Rachel live a simple life. Everything about their existence is ordinary; but someone is watching them like characters in a movie, analysing and observing their perceived "love". Amongst the haze of her mundane life Rachel finds herself staring at the kitchen sink wanting something more, she aches to escape the rut of hopping from one boring breakfast to another. James tries to convince her that they are in control of everything and that the limitations of life are self imposed, but are they? Her dream of a life like the movies is slipping away day by day. Is the word love just a sound bite we use to comfort each other? Can they get out of this dull existence together? Has the darkness inside Rachel already won? Or has something else got there first?
