I was really looking forward to a show with real life girl issues. I am so disappointed! It's way too much violence in this show. We don't need a show with so much violence. Why the heck are people committing suicide, getting shot, getting stabbed and fighting so much? Enough already! Can these women just deal with day to day relationships and career issues? This is so bad! I can't believe I watched an entire season of this crap! Why do we need FBI here and fed charges for Gary? Just stop! Go back and watch Living Single, Girlfriends, Being Mary Jane....watch anything to get inspiration from. This here ain't it!
The Leslie and Jasmine characters are just so over the top. Like Jasmine, let go and let God. And are you making Leslie bad or good. She's doing way too much!
Highly disappointed!!!

A series of conversations that go on too long. None of the actors are particularly talented. A lot of the time it feels like they're stretching scenes to fill the hour.
It might be better if a character or two was compelling.

There's a particular episode that was really bad but this show overall was not what I expected. The storyline is interesting but the acting and script is not the best. The constant awkward pauses and repeated lines...I don't believe it needs to be cancelled, I just believe the lines need to be delivered better or the script needs to be written better...again, the storyline is on point.
I'm proud of Tyler Perry for pitching out all of these shows but I hope he knows that his fans would prefer quality over quantity.
TP continues to half-ass his way through poorly written, directed and produced shows, and expects us to love his shows just because he's black and they're about black people. But he constantly insults our intelligence with his output. He owns a large studio, yet his sets seem extremely low budgets, his apartments, offices etc seem almost like stage play sets. Dialogue, plots and continuity are poorly executed. Imagine that the police comes to arrest a guy in a hospital saying it's for murder and the supposed victim is alive in the very same hospital!
The continuity is very sketchy... it seems like a single day stretches over several episodes and then it's hard to tell how much time has elapsed over a couple seasons.
The most annoying character is Karen's assistant Pam, with her sashaying, ridiculous expressions, hand waving and sing song voice she comes across as a cheap caricature of what a hood black woman is supposed to be.
Why is Andi a top lawyer constantly acting like an airhead from a telenovela? Why are all the girls constantly sabotaging their relationships then blaming it on the guys.
Why is a part black guy playing the role of a white country hick? Why are the girls able to just rush off their jobs for non emergencies so often? Why is no one ever seen watching TV but just sitting on the sofa doing nothing? Why are people constantly popping up at homes and workplaces at all hours like stalkers? Why is Aaron hitting on Karen just after his wife's death and before she's even buried? Why does the airport always look like it only ever has the same one plane and couple passengers? And what's with the weird hairstyles??? Why are people who work in a bank and law firm dressed so inappropriately for the job?
TP needs to relinquish some writing and directing to more talented persons or step up his game. And get rid of the always smug look on his face.

Sistas is the first ...and last ...Tyler Perry show I will ever watch.
the writing is like it was written by uneducated unimaginative 19 year olds.
over acted. poorly acted. even the serious parts are hillarious in all the wrong ways.
makes black (and all ) women look like mushy brained weak deviant losers that cannot live without D. Horrendous. Ridiculous. a real brain cell killer.

Tyler perry sistas show is good love it the only problem I have with one of the actresses is Danny one her acting is over board every time I watch it she I see acts her face expressions you can tell she is acting she should just be herself a flow . She act so dum that the only problem I have with the show other then that I tune in every week to watch it
I understand what other reviewers mean about the acting and how overly dramatic things get at times. I don't think the actors/actresses are bad, but the weird pauses/delayed responses kind of annoy me. Obviously you know when it's time for one person to respond, but it's like you can tell they're waiting for the other person to respond with their line. Not always, but sometimes. It doesn't always flow as it should. All that being said, I still enjoy watching it. It just holds my attention and I'll probably keep watching it as long as it's on.

I had to watch this just to see if it was as bad as the trailers made it look. I was amazed to discover its actually even worse than that. Stereotypical portrayals of black people, terrible acting, lazy storylines, and if I didn't know better I would think it was written by a 12 year old white kid who had never met a real-life black person during the one full decade they'd been alive. Terrible...don't waste your time.

I love this show. I don't understand why it has such a low rating on here. Matter of fact, I could probably guess why but I'll leave it at this, no matter what race your are this show is very entertaining

10 minutes of ridiculous content made 40 minutes long with dramatic pauses and characters repeating the same line back and forth to each other. Even 1970's daytime soap operas weren't this redundant and constipated.
I luvz Maurice/Extravaganza. He's funny, caring, a good friend to Sabrina. He makes the series so much fun!

This show is somewhat entertaining but it is also lacking in many areas. Tyler Perry wrote this show without any input from a woman and the show is about women. The interactions and dialogue between characters is unrealistic. I've found myself confused in some scenes and upset with the characters in others. Maybe season 2 will be different.

Why does Tyler Perry only portray gay men as extremely feminine. It's so annoying. As a matter of fact, all of his characters are extreme. So unrealistic
Honestly the worst tv show one can see in decades. Tried watching 30 minutes, hilarious how lame and poor it is. So badly written, the acting is terrible, long pauses, wrong music on scenes. My friend and I had a laugh as couldn't believe how bad the whole thing is, we jumped through the episodes and all as we couldn't believe our eyes

This show is so poorly written, it's hard to review. The production is cheap and the sex scenes are cheaper. I didn't back out of the program, I turned the TV completely off. They are right

I like the show it is interesting. I like the sisterhood and what he is trying to portray but I think it should be a storyline more than just surrounding boy issues.

As of late I have nit been watching a lot of TP Productions because they seemed to have the same type of story line but THIS SHOW!!!! LOVE IT!!!! What i do realize now, is Mr. Perry makes shows for various audiences. When I watched season 1 on demand I watched the entire season back to back! Can't wait to see the new season
I've never seen sex and the city but I feel like this is what it would be: a show about four women and the relationships. There are points where this show feels like a soup opera, how much drama can you create around one character in one season? There is a limit before it's gets ridiculous and then they just seem to cut the character out of the show. There are other points where the story doesn't seem fully developed. They make references to being in college. One is a lawyer so she obviously went to college, one runs a hair salon but you never see an office or her doing payroll or things you'd expect an owner to do, one is a bank teller that does have an office, one works at a counter in an airport. So there are two jobs that aren't defined real well and might not require a degree, a bank teller and counter worker in an airport and one that hair stylist you can go to a trade school for and open a business, my dad knew someone that did that or you can have studied hair styling at a vo-tech in high school and get a degree in business. It only matters because they reference "when we were in college" and I don't think a law school would teach hair styling. It is one example of a sloppiness and under-developed story that I can give without going into deep detail about characters and relationships but is also part of the foundation of the story/history of the show. It does have some interesting characters but some of the characters and situations are a bit cliche and over done.

I gave this show a chance thinking 'Hey, how bad could it really be?' Oh, it's bad.
Bad like stinky feet bad. Bad like left out the meat and it spoiled bad. Bad like a faulty alternator on your car bad. Bad like...you get the point. It's soooo bad.
Someone please help TP. Please help him with dialogue, character development, real situations, a sense of reality...
Someone please tell him that no one is one dimensional and that all black women, all black men or all gay men don't behave the same way. Please tell him that he needs help writing scripts.
Someone please tell him his sex scenes are obnoxious, totally overused and over acted. Please tell him that he can give his characters range like seriously...the thick sista doesn't have to be the loud, funny one, the men don't all have to be dogs, weak or pitiful or look like they stepped out of a magazine spread. Please tell him to give his characters depth and history because it's hard to care about characters when you know nothing about who they are as people and why they are the way they are.
And if he's going for a dramedy element here, he so missed the mark. The jokes are corny and sophmomist. . The 'drama' is silly and unrealistic. Omgee, I could go on but a lot of other people have already said it. It's sooo bad.
Don't waste your time on this show unless you're bored and you need something mindless playing for background noise.

I gotta say, TP has done okay with this show. I know everybody isnt going to like this series, but i do. I like it.
Ok- I am trying here. I really am. I want to like this show. I really do. I hope people give it a chance. The storyline is not that bad and the writers aren't that bad either. But---they are not great! I hope they are successful. I get what Tyler is trying to do. It is a mix between Girlfriends and Girls' Trip. However, it is made for TV. It is an edgier twist but they need to truly define that. Let's give this show and these newcomers (actors) a chance.
