Storyline

Justine steps off the train and starts her weekend at Luke's impressive country farmhouse, with enigmatic father and catty sister, Katy. Back home, Ray and his brother wake up in the usual mess, and find Ruth has gone. Eventually, while Kenny goes to try to find Ruth, Ray finds a letter in the sofa: it's from Ruth, telling him that the engagement's off. Luke's home is certainly impressive, but a little too quiet for Justine. At Nick's house Richard tries to talk about the whole Fran and Maria situation, but Nick is busy with his gardening - he's thinking of Natasha - and Richard walks off, bored: what on Earth can he find to do? He passes a circus poster, and he looks at it thoughtfully... Luke talks to Justine about Liam, and she tells him how for a long time the reality of his death hadn't seemed real. While Justine tucks into a candlelit dinner of roast Pheasant with Luke's family, and they talk about the annoyance of ramblers' rights, it's another world for Ray, eating take-away ...
