Boyd discovers more about Katherine Reed's personal life, Sir James Beatty continues to be difficult.
An excellent episode, not the outcome I had predicted or expected, it had a murder mystery feel to it, but also one of an espionage thriller. The killer was somewhat underplayed in the previous part, but gets a big role here.
Boyd has started down the angry route, he's ranting more than he used to, this would continue for many years, although he did have more of a sense of humour here.
Great performances, Corin Redgrave and Patricia Hodge in particular.
9/10
