Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • The movie opens with a chimp shown in the aftermath of a violent encounter
  • Dozens of individuals are seen being sucked into the creature's digestive system and are eventually killed. Blood is poured out of the ship. Could be disturbing to sensitive viewers.
  • At the beginning of the film OJ's father falls off of his horse, it is said that a coin fell from the sky and hit him. We see him with a brief cut on him. This isn't super bloody
  • A chimp beats several cast members to death on the set of a tv show - the actual gore isn't shown but the sounds are very graphic
  • Multiple people are sucked up by the creature and are implied to have been killed in the third act. This lasts until the creature blows up. Not graphic.
  • There is a scene where blood rains down onto a house
  • There is a scene where a chimp named Gordy gives a fist salute to a scared little boy sitting under the table. At that moment he is shot in the head. You can see the blood spattering on the tablecloth. The scene is very gory, disturbing and graphic.
  • A TMZ reporter rides his motorcycle into the creature's domain and is thrown violently from the bike when it strikes the creature's force field. He survives the crash with broken limbs. He is then consumed by the monster when it descends to eat him. We briefly hear him screaming in pain and horror from inside the creature's digestive system before being cut off.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scene where "Gordy" ( The Chimp) implies to have killed multiple people could be frightening
  • There is an incredibly intense scene halfway through the movie, where a character and 40 audience members (adults and children) are "abducted" by an alien ship. The scene is probably the most intense scene in the movie.
  • In the first half of the movie, a character goes to check on his horses in the stable. We see him walk around while supernatural things occur, leading to the character discovering some humanoid creatures with very large bulbous heads sneaking around. They are revealed very slowly in camera angles designed to invoke fear and intensity. VERY tense scene as everything is very quiet. Though it is later revealed that the "creatures," were Ricky's kids.
  • A TMZ reporter is abducted by the creature and is later implied that he was digested. His screams for help could be heard as he is being digested. Quite disturbing.
