Lee and Lucy venture into the Art world, with crazy consequences.
Sleepin_Dragon14 January 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Lucy's having a civilised evening in, entertaining two of Guy's upper class friends Toby and Fliss, both brokers. They've taken to Lucy, but definitely not impressed by Lee's Northern humour. The pair are offering Lucy advice on her new business venture, art dealing. Lee makes out that he did a degree in Eastern European art back in the 90's, Lee's invited along to an Art exhibition along with Guy, Lucy, Fliss and Toby, and loaded with information from Barbara he makes a splash. Foolishly, Lucy's even taken Lee's advice and picked up a flat full of an unknown Polish artist's work. The one person you don't want near art is Barbara!

Nice to see an episode with Lucy and Lee get on a little bit, his irritation with Guy once again was quite funny. Guy seems to have Lee's measure too, no fool he isn't taken in by Lee's double handed jokes.

Good old slapstick humour mixed with smart writing, well made. 8/10

Lee feels culturally challenged when two of Guy's friends turn up from Switzerland.

Lee has only read one book in the last five years and has no idea who The Brothers Karamazov are. Then again Lucy is winging it as well and she is about to enter the art world.

With some assistance from Barbara, Lee becomes an expert on an unknown Polish sculptor. Lucy ends up buying a lot of the sculptor's work for her exhibition and Barbara feels compelled to give it a polish.

There are plenty of zingers in this episode, also lots of silliness when Tim and Lee are together.

Guy regards Lee more of a threat now but he can handle him with some put downs.

There is also a good visual gag at the art exhibition, the director wrong foots the audience when Barbara cleans an exhibit.
