STORY:
Gana (Naga Shaurya) returns to India for his sister Priya's (Sargun Kaur Luthra) wedding. But when she tries to kill herself, he finds out she's pregnant but doesn't know how. How he tracks down the man who did this to his sister and countless other girls forms the story.
POSITIVES
A terrific transformation of NAGA SHAURYA from a lover boy to a serious character was great.. His acting was tremendous.. Secondly the topic that they have delivered was great and worth watching..the serious matter is greatly pulled on to the big screens.. Naga shaurya has given a great story.. The first half was an emotional roller coaster ride for the audience and the interval bang was okay.. The two songs that came in the first half was okay.. The actors have given their best.. The BGM given by GHIBRAN was flawless.. Mostly there is a fight sequence which has been taken in single shot.. That was good.. Introduction of villian.his character and his aims were written well.. The climax was shot well..Second half was okay..
NEGATIVES
Too much emotion and no engagement misses a feel in the movie..that exactly happened here.. The characters don't display any type of characters related to the epic MAHABHARATHA which has been told by the movie team. There is no such reference take from it.. Hero solves many problems very easily and the whole investigation process make u drowsy.. Songs are unreliable to the movie and female lead Mehreen as well.. She had nothing to do with the film.. Other female leads gave their best..The climax could be more better..Too many strings attached to the plot..make the film dull and boring..this movie is similar to the Tamil movie RATCHSAN or Telugu movie RAKSHASUDU in many ways
.the villain characterization was exactly the same.. Apart from these there is some good message that needs to be conveyed.. Adding commercial elements ruined the film...its not an complete thriller..the screenplay is not pacy at all..lot of unnecessary scenes and dialouges are present..Emotionally- driven movies have their own disadvantages..

No any new concept in script. Just highlighted the danger of women faced in indian society.
Unnecessary fights and songs.
I think the quality of action must be increase to make the movie real.
It is not a movie for this decade. But still reccommend to south indian action lover who likes the old type story flow.

Action packed aswathama..satisfied to some extent yet gave us loops as there were more expectation yet it fulfilled a little..screenplay was fine though it would b better if the villain had been kept suspense atleast to a extent ..

Naga Shourya makes a terrific transformation from a lover boy to an action hero. His screen presence, body language, and performance is good.
The action episodes and interval bang is the biggest highlight.
Second half is predictable, and the climax is not up to the mark.

The motive for the protagonist is very weak to start with, unnecessary songs and they are such a drag to a very ordinary story line.I mean everything in the movie is so predictable.
They just wanted to a make a thriller by watching so many other thriller movies instead of writing a genuine storyline.
Overall you can watch it only if you have 2 hours to waste.

This movie tried to be everything, thriller,family friendly,action, romantic, but instead it became a hodgepodge of brainless plot,twist and narration. It failed to give us any build up to the motive, as it was never meant to be a proper psychological thriller. The writer (who is also the lead actor) only tried to deliver an action thriller by watching so many thriller movies, that's why the story-line was so weak and cartoonish. Also, the director tried to focus on the acting of the main leads only, he forgot that people also notice the expressions of the supporting actors in thriller movies. In a word, it was nothing more than a bad taste in the name of a thriller movie.

I was waiting to see this film since long, one of the major reasons being its raw action episodes. After watching a one-shot fight sequence on YouTube, I was compelled to check it out. Finally, following a number of delays, the film was today made available for streaming with subtitles and I instantly checked it out. Whoa, that was one good action thriller! The concept is fresh and unique, and the film has so much tension and action that it made me hold my breath a number of times.
Naga Shaurya has transformed into an action hero with this film, and has done a splendid job. Watch out for his action scenes where he impresses like a pro. Mehreen thankfully has a better role this time, and not just singing and dancing with the hero. Jisshu Sengupta is stunning as the antagonist. The film has a racy plot and hence it clearly should've avoided a couple of songs but given how it regains and retains the momentum later is commendable.
And yes, the best thing about this film is the action. The fight scenes and parkour stunts are both brilliantly choreographed as well as shot. Dialogues are pretty impressive, and there are also a number of feel good moments as well. But again, the writing is the clear winner here, and the best part of the film is the pre-interval action sequence that delivers a ton of heart-pounding intensity.
Overall, Aswathama is an impressive action thriller. If you don't speak Telugu but also don't mind reading subtitles, check this movie out on Jio CInema or Sun NXT. It will blow your mind!
