Shows like this one make me want to travel to the US, just to see if teenagers really act like this. Giving birth to a baby in a shopping mall's bathroom, looking for instructions on WikiHow and YouTube instead of calling 911? Really?

I've been trying really hard to understand the purpose of the first three episodes, with no success. Sure, it's got LGBT characters, plus an attempt to touch on the mental health subject (which I would say it's good), but sadly, everything else is just... Like, all I see is teenagers whining and getting triggered over the smallest details possible.

To me, the whole story feels like a cringey highschool exaggerated drama, to the point where it's no longer clear whether the show is taking the story seriously or if it's just making fun of the characters.

So, in the end, I'm confused. Sorry.

Edit: After finishing the last episode, I can say that episodes 6 and 8 were OK.

But my confusion remains. The whole baby situation feels (a bit) out of place. It's like it's there just for show, so that we have to go through the whole story of how the characters meet and get along. This ends brutally with the field trip in episode 7, and the transition to the baby situation is done too quickly in episode 8.

It's true that the characters are a bit less annoying towards the end of the series, but some scenes, like the one where Nathan leaves a voice message for Chester, were still exaggerated. I get it, if I were in Nathan's place, I would be nervous too. But come on, you don't mess up a call like that :)

While Genera+ion may not be the worst thing I've ever watched, it's certainly not on my recommendations list.
