MPAA Rated R for language

Sex & Nudity

  • A man and women start documenting ghost sightings, and they go to have sex, but the man keeps saying the camera is off when its not. They kiss and then turn off the camera.
  • A couple share many kisses.
  • A man asks his girlfriend to take off her shirt and pants and be in her bra and underwear for the camera.

Violence & Gore

  • There is one scene where a character is thrown across the room and one scene where a character's hand is bleeding from gripping an object tightly. Other than that, there is no violence or gore.


  • The F-word is dropped a fair amount of times (maybe 10-15ish) and other minor swears are thrown around every once in a while.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Katie and Micah drink wine in one scene.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Although its only rated R for language its also worth noting that there are a few very frightening scenes
  • Rated R for horror violence and some strong language.

  • Micah's body is violently hurled at the camera; Katie's shirt can be seen stained with blood.
  • In an alternate ending, Katie commits suicide by slitting her throat. Blood briefly drools from her neck as she collapses to the floor.
  • The original ending has Katie accidentally shot down and killed by the police.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Micah's body is violently hurled at the camera, which is knocked off the tripod, revealing a demonic Katie standing in the doorway. She slowly walks into the room, stained with blood, and crawls to Micah's body, then looks up at the camera with a grin. As she lunges toward the camera, her face takes on a demonic appearance just as the scene cuts to black.
