Best episode of the show after (In Memoriam)

I just finished this episode and I'm truly impressed. I'm a fan of Dame Agatha Christie, and in all detective stories, nothing beats a locked room mystery in my book. Enjoy.

Christie has rised!

I f*ing LOVED this episode! Such a relief, since the last episode was extremly disappointing. I love the traditional Agatha Christie-ish crime scene with a locked room, a theory and all the suspects in there. So many loose knots were tied together, BRAVO!

Loved this episode

It was such a good episode, one of the better episodes the show has produced in a long time. The plot was interesting and I loved the murder mystery element of the episode. Having the focus on revealing the mystery and what happened as well as revealing the culprits was great. The show should have more episodes with this format.

Brilliant episode, from a great season, some negatives to be addressed however, but awesome overall

Absolutely fantastic! Everything was great, was very happy to have an episode that was just one storyline and really enjoyed the making sense of all the flashbacks as I and many others were irritated at the reaction of B, V and A after the "death" of Jug. I personally have really enjoyed Season 4 and aside from the butchering of the Edgar Evernever storyline and the absence or limited appearance of many great characters such as Sweet Pea it's been a great season, we've been able to dive deeper into the lives of the characters and take a slightly relaxed break from Serial Killers and Supernatural Board Games. My only issue with this epsiode was the overall shortness of this storyline that last just 3-4 episodes I believe it should have started sooner like Episode 7 or 8 and it would have had a longer and greater impact. But nevertheless I thoroughly enjoyed this but wonder what is going to happen in the final 3 episodes and who will the final villain be? Mr Honey perhaps? But yeah loved the episode and enjoying the season.

The Locked Room (#4.16)

Warning: Spoilers
This was, without a doubt, the best episode of season four and one of Riverdale's best of all time. It was incredibly coherent, well-written, and gripping, and all of the pieces from previous episodes came together to form a perfect puzzle. I am very impressed that the writers managed to keep track of all of their flash-forwards and clues, and deliver such a coherent and satisfying endgame. The writers clearly planned this all far ahead, giving us clues about the Stonewall Four, the Baxter Brothers franchise being stolen from Forsythe, Chipping's murder, and the terrifying Halloween night prank, right from the very beginning.

So many jaw-dropping moments and so many unexpected twists here. There was not a single dull moment in this packed episode. It also played like a season finale, complete with full-circle resolution-- ending the episode back in Pop's, toasting to a normal rest of senior year, bringing us right back to when the madness began.

This was truly phenomenal. Though season four suffered from a tonal rut in the first half, it quickly got itself together in the second half to deliver one of its best plots. It was clear from the beginning that the writers had something great up their sleeve with the Stonewall Prep storyline, even when the other plots were starting to flounder. This, though, exceeded all expectations.

Creating a time test anxiety was perfect perhaps, its kinda smart episode than the other ones in the previous season or in this season. From the beginning to the end was well thought.

Talk about rose-colored glasses!

Warning: Spoilers
I know that everyone is obsessed with Bughead, but even I'm shocked at the lofty rating for this horrible episode! Are Riverdale fans SO infatuated with their main couple to the point they'll give any episode that focuses on them and them alone a 10? LOL This is probably the worst episode of Season 4 and easily one of the worst of the entire series. Like, it's really bad. The whole time watching it, I was wincing at Cole Sprouse's awful line delivery and Lili Reinhart's smarmy face. And also her line delivery could use a ton of work, too. What has TV come to that this tedious, grating couple are face of one of the most popular shows of the era?

Can someone tell me what was so good about this Stonewall Prep subplot? Because I found every single one of these new characters to be extremely boring. And in this climactic episode, virtually none of Bughead's big "twists" and "reveals" were new information, or if it was new, it was pretty damn uninteresting. How they connected some of the dots was either flimsy or made zero sense. First, the genesis of this murder subplot is ridiculous. What's the big deal of Old Evil Stonewall Teacher BUYING the rights to Jughead's grandfather's book? Dude, you executed a perfectly LEGAL transaction. Why would you be stupid enough to murder a bunch of people over that? And I'm supposed to believe that EVERY subsequent class had at least one student perfectly willing to commit murder to win that book award? Nah, don't report this psycho teacher to the police, but instead ruin your life by becoming a murderer when you never had murderous instincts before!

Ignoring the above nonsense, how did these "smart" students actually FAIL to make sure that Jughead was actually dead? And then they all manage to still get away with attempted murder after all these big reveals and the cops have them dead to rights. One girl gets diplomatic immunity and the other girl, who was apparently the brains of this Jughead murder plot, goes scot free and gets to start a whole new life somewhere else. But the most sickening scene had to be the one of FP and Jughead beating that boy within an inch of his life. I know this is just a TV show, but scenes like that have always disturbed me and I hate how unnecessarily violent actions like this get celebrated by cheering characters on and calling them "badasses" just because they are the "heroes". Jughead mindlessly beats up and mutilates people? YAY! Betty unapologetically blackmails everyone? YOU GO GIRL!

And I'll bet if this were instead Archie and Veronica, people would be like complaining about how dumb and disgusting these acts were. I guess it pays to be the fan favorites and writers' pets. The only comfort I have is knowing how truly awful this episode is, over time it's lofty rating will dive down to the depths of awfulness it truly deserves. You know what, scratch that...It's RIVERDALE!

At least now they tried...

What this once pretty good show has become... I just can't enjoy this anymore. The idea behind this episode was kind of cool, especially considering how many dumb things they came up with in seasons 3 and 4 (except for In Memoriam, that was incredible) but nothing seems relevant anymore. I can't care for any of the characters anymore and that makes it impossible to enjoy the show. I think it's time for me to quit.

I'm speechless...

Worst writing ever. I though we've reached writing limbo in 4x15, but this new episode was another level of embarrassments. The smug expressions on Jughead and Betty's faces, solving these cardboard mysteries, was the cherry on top of the sheet cake. This is what we call jumping the imaginary shark... No more mysteries? Try no more everything, Veronica. Your show is in serious need of an extreme makeover.
