Easily said the topic presented is good , applicable in current India's situation, the atrocities against dalit and religion, This is not a movie you don't see for entertainment in that aspect i found it boring.

When being a leftist is the only way to sustain in overly political cinema industry, Siddarth Siva comes up with such gems.. Will sell in Kerala, as self righteous mallus feeding of Gulf money, chanting muffled Ingulab Zindabad in toilet will take this as gospel truth... Sad that a brilliant movie industry which came up with hell a lot of awesome movies have a parasite like this director feeding off it.

50% feminism and an equal amount of never awake communist ideology. Some Keralites think they only know everything all the others are didn't even been to school. These people never change their mindset or upgrade their knowledge levels.

Film attempts to show the face of current India. Fascism is at peak in India. But the direction and screen play writing lost their vision in somewhere in the middle. They were trying to speak about lot of issues, so they lost in the middle.

The movie varthamanam has a very noble and inclusive message in its core, but I felt that it translated into pretty average and forgettable watch.

The movie has a very strong political message to convey which is relevant in the society. Some scenes very effectively convey this, especially the portions where Faiza (character played by Parvathy) gets into trouble due to a fabricated case, those scenes work best in the movie. Parvathy gives a amazing performance, the scene where she makes a speech in the rally was very superb. Roshan Mathews, Siddique, sanju sivaram all give a decent performance. The cinematography was nice in the portions of Uttarakhand and felt little amateurish when they showed the montages of characters walking the streets in Delhi. The songs were pretty okay, supported the overall narrative of the movie.

The movie fails to effectively convey its point and takes its own time to get to the point. The first half of the movie is mostly discussions regarding the political issues in the country. Many scenes just felt pretty stretched and unnecessary. The dialogues were just too casual and lacked depth. The movie failed to get me emotionally invested in any of the characters for a long time. A few scenes just before the climax, when Faiza gets into trouble was the only time when it felt there were stakes involved. The movie should have effectively tried to show the inequality and caste discrimination in the country, instead we get a lot of scenes of hartal, rally's and dialogue after dialogue which feels really passive and hardly gives any impact.

Bitter face of the existing indian socio-cultural fanatic entity is portrayed vividly and lucidly.

Kudos to the creators and crews for daring such an endeavour to speak for the disdained..

Good movies describes the reality of what a generation face

This movie shows the exact circumstances and situation faced by the students and the people who are raising their voice against the "self called patriots" otherwise this "sangi sarkkar". I highly recommend you all to watch this movie. This is happening here, this is the truth so I think we all should be atleast aware about that . Now it's clear that why did a bjp member in the kerala censor bord insist on denying the release of this movie .

A Movie with deep message and fits very well to present political drama.! All characters performed to their best! Start was bit slow, but as movie progresses it will connect with real life instances.

Good watch, never to miss.
