Decent episode but
Just-A-Girl-1417 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, I like the "new girl", not to say that I don't like Missy but since she is on maternity leave, I'm glad to see OA got a good partner to fill in for her. Hope to see more of detective Upton in future episodes.

As for the plot, I have to agree with the other reviewer, it lacked some background story. Why and how did Lucas stole the drugs from the gang's number two guy in NY? If "they do their homework" why did they torture and kill the roommate instead of going straight to the girlfriend? I still think it was a good episode but usually I prefer to get the whole story so there aren't any plot holes to keep you wondering.

What made even less sense to me was that it was a season final. I don't care that there was no cliffhanger at the end (I actually prefer closure at the end of the season), but it just didn't feel like a season final, there was nothing special about it. Felt like just another episode...

Season Finale a Dud
Johnny_West2 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Missy Peregyn is out for a while due to her pregnancy. Not having her character on the show complaining about FBI policies, questioning her directives, and constantly in everyone else's business was a plus.

Tracy Spiridakos replaces Missy as an agent on loan from Chicago P. D. Tracy is an interesting actress. She spends most of this show doing the "new guy" routine with Zeeko Zaki, the agent she is paired with.

The whole plot seems very unlikely. A regular drug buyer happens to kill his dealer and steal 4 kilos of cocaine when they meet at the park. Cannot imagine any dealer walking over to the park to sell little baggies of drugs with a stash of 4 kilos in his backpack. Another question is how did the killer know about the 4 kilos?

Then the roomie gets tortured, and that seems unlikely. What information could he give them? "He might be at the Nike store on Times Square."

Then along comes his girlfriend, who is another hard-core druggie that drove the getaway car during the murder and drug rip-off. One minute talking to Tracy, and she has an epiphany and becomes the best informant.

As far as introducing Tracy as a new character, it was good. By the end, she was working well with all the other characters. As far as the story, it seemed like a "crime of the week" story, nothing special for a season finale.

Chicago PD crossover
cutebjf17 February 2024
What possesses writers to think they endear characters on other shows with the "stoic strong female character" that makes the normal characters look like idiots. Not great. OA is a great character. They need to do him justice when they pair him up. Disappointed a bit. Ok episode.

I didn't go watch Chicago PD after this. I kind of felt like ignoring it. It's also a sign of lazy and sloppy writing to have the main characters praise a guest character to tell us how amazing they are, instead of showing us convincingly while making them relateable. Overall FBI is a great show though. This episode was annoying.
