Storyline

Sonia Deol read the latest news headlines and Liam Dutton forecast the Weather. Former Chancellor Lord Lawson and former sports minister Kate Hoey MP reviewed the Sunday news papers with Andrew Marr. Writer & director Mike Leigh spoke to Andrew about his life and work in the British film industry. Uniquely, Mike doesn't start with a script and allows the characters and events in the film to grow organically in collaboration with his actors. In an interview recorded yesterday, Andrew spoke to the new Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, about various issues including human rights in China, boycotting the Olympic games, dealing with the Aborigines, the timing when Australia will become a Republic, the Zimbabwe election, and finally some advice to Gordon Brown. The Liberal Democrat leader, Nick Clegg MP, spoke to Andrew about various issues including the Prime Minister welcoming the Olympic flame and attending the Olympic opening ceremony, his lifestyle especially his drug taking in ...
