James Gunn is currently on a tight and hectic schedule working on both Superman and Peacemaker Season 2. With both hands full and timetable loaded, fans have felt deeply concerned about the filmmaker and the fate of the two projects.
John Cena in Peacemaker
The director addressed this query on his social media platform, and it seems he is devoting more time for Superman while still making visible progress on the Peacemaker sequel. It is a tough job to handle two different projects and develop them at the same time, but that seems to be the thrill and joy of it.

When Guardians of the Galaxy was first announced back in 2014, many were assured this was going to be MCU’s first bomb, as the IP didn’t actually have a dedicated fanbase. On top of that, apart from Zoë Saldana, who was somewhat of a star, no one in the Guardians cast was an A-lister at the time, but as the story goes, James Gunn made it work.
Fast forward to today, the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy stands as one of the best superhero trilogies, whose final entry was lauded as the MCU’s best since Infinity War. And much like the film itself, which was one of the most emotionally heavy movies the cinematic giant had to offer, the last day on set brought Gunn to tears following Chris Pratt and Zoë Saldana’s speeches.

Chris Pratt and James Gunn are pretty good friends after having worked together in MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy movies. They pretty much have been through thick and thin, battling the extensive negative criticism before the movie’s release to Gunn’s dismissal from the last movie following a series of resurfaced tweets.

Another thing share in common and makes them bond is their sense of humor. The result of which was the wedding speech that Gunn wrote for Pratt to read at his wedding. A hilarious monologue, it left the audience in fits of laughter and Pratt embarrassed for he was forced to acknowledge how much prettier Gunn’s wife was in comparison to his.

“Animal Control” star Joel McHale is keeping the vermin off his “Community” movie set. McHale told The Post that Chevy Chase is not welcome back for the upcoming Peacock movie adaptation.
“I don’t think he’s allowed to [return],” McHale said. “I don’t think it would happen. I don’t think [him returning] is a thing. Obviously his unceremonious departure in Season 4 pretty much did that in.”
McHale added: “I’m guessing if you asked him, he wouldn’t be interested” in starring in the movie.
The “Community” movie is the culmination of Dan Harmon’s preordained six-seasons-and-a-movie destiny for his NBC sitcom. Chase was part of most of it, but was fired from the series in 2013 after allegedly using a racist slur against co-star Donald Glover and butting heads with series creator Harmon.

Working on the science fiction series Dark Angel brought both Jensen Ackles and Jessica Alba their fair share of success, despite some ups and downs. Fox’s show, which starred Alba as super soldier Max Guevara escaping from government agents in a post-apocalyptic Seattle, was created by James Cameron and Charles H. Eglee and premiered in 2000.
During the second season, Ackles joined the show as Max’s fellow supersoldier, Alec McDowell (X5-494). The actors engaged in a lot of fighting during Dark Angel’s action sequences, but Ackles maintained that the tension between them was even greater off-screen.

Alan Ritchson’s role as Jack Reacher in the Amazon Prime Video series Reacher is the second iteration of the popular character. Based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels, the first cinematic adaptation of the character was played by Tom Cruise in Christopher McQuarrie’s Jack Reacher and its sequel Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

Throughout its six season run, "Community" encountered a genuinely impressive set of challenges. First of all, series creator, Dan Harmon, was kicked off his own show, which considering his behavior wasn't all that shocking. An admitted heavy drinker, Harmon also became notorious for what The Hollywood Reporter referred to as his "eleventh-hour rewrites, or 'Harmon passes,'" which he would foist upon the cast and crew during filming. Harmon also fell out with star Chevy Chase, and the show was known for its long shooting days and erratic schedule. No wonder Alison Brie described the "Community" set as "frantic, frenetic, chaotic"
Then, there was the constant threat of cancellation, which loomed over "Community" until the show was actually canceled by NBC after its fifth season. Yahoo's then-new streaming service, Yahoo! Screen, picked up the show for its sixth and final season that seemed destined to fail. And fail it did.

Actor Joel McHale reflected on an altercation he had with his fellow Community co-star Chevy Chase that occurred on the set.
McHale, known for his main character role as Jeff Winger on the TV series, has been candid about disagreements that reportedly transpired between himself and Chase, who played the controversial offensive character Pierce Hawthorne. McHale even dedicated a chapter of his 2016 memoir, Thanks for the Money, to a “step-by-step on how to fight Chevy Chase.”
The topic arose in the podcast conversation when McHale highlighted his willingness to address the conflicts that arose with Chase while they were on the show. When asked about the nature of the incidents, McHale revealed that physical altercations did occur, with instances where one shoved or pushed the other. McHale described the confrontations as “advanced horseplay,” and humorously remarked, “You know, horseplay, and then it always turned into sex. It wasn’t fun.

Although “Community” has remained a cult favorite show since its 2009 debut, Chevy Chase, one of the series’ stars, has been very vocal that he didn’t enjoy making it. Similarly, fellow cast member Joel McHale hasn’t been afraid to slam Chase in the press. Yet their on-set feud turned physical too, with one ending when McHale injured the veteran comedian.
McHale was a guest on a recent episode of Michael Rosenbaum’s “Inside of You” podcast, where he described a section of his 2016 memoir “Thanks for the Money” which included a “step by step on how to fight Chevy Chase.”
When Rosenbaum asked if their on-set altercations were verbal or physical, McHale confirmed there were multiple physical incidents.
“It was an advanced horseplay,” he said, joking, “You know, horseplay, and then it always turned into sex.”
From there, he described the reality of the situation, saying, “It would get a little contentious.

The Gunfight at the O.K. Corral lasted under one minute and took place over 140 years ago. Tombstone, which dramatizes said gunfight, was made just over 30 years ago and already has more mystery to it. We may know who killed who that October day in Arizona, but there’s still some discrepancies over who truly directed 1993’s Tombstone. One thing’s for sure: Michael Biehn knows it wasn’t Kurt Russell…despite what Kurt Russell may say.
Speaking on Michael Rosenbaum on Inside of You, Biehn – who played outlaw Johnny Ringo – tried to once again shut down the rumors that Russell was the true director of Tombstone. “I get so f’in’ tired of people asking me if Kurt Russell directed the movie…Kurt Russell did not direct the movie. Kurt Russell was responsible for getting the movie off the ground. I never would have played Johnny Ringo if it wasn’t for Kurt Russell.

The thing about legendary filmmaker Zack Snyder is that you either love him or you do not. There seems to be no in-between. Fans of the superhero genre are divided into two factions and while one-half absolutely loves Zack Snyder’s dark and different approach to comic book characters, the other half would prefer him staying true to the comic books they grew up reading.

With the anticipation for the upcoming Superman getting higher and higher with each passing day, it’s natural for the fans to also want to know what the main antagonist will look like to match the superhero’s prestige. For that, James Gunn has brought Nicholas Hoult to play the role of the evil mastermind Lex Luthor in the project.

There’s that bit in ‘All-Star Superman’ [comic] where he [Lex] talks about his muscles being real and hard work and all that. I kind of took that as a little bit of a fuel for the fire."The podcast was hosted by fellow actor Michael Rosenbaum - who previously played Lex in TV show 'Smallville' - and Nicholas admitted the series was the...

Lex Luthor met Lex Luthor as Nicholas Hoult was the latest guest on the “Inside of You” podcast with host Michael Rosenbaum. Hoult is taking on the role of Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s upcoming “Superman,” which is now filming in Atlanta. Rosenbaum spent seven seasons playing a younger version of the villain on “Smallville.” Hoult revealed that Rosenbaum’s Lex was the first Lex he ever saw on screen, as he watched “Smallville” long before getting a look at Gene Hackman’s Lex in Richard Donner’s “Superman” movies.
“The first ever Lex I saw was you. I grew up and ‘Smallville’ was on. I was 11 or 12,” Hoult said. “That was the show I would watch, and it was the first iterations I would see of Superman and Lex and all those stories. I love your portrayal. Are you kidding me? It’s the best.”

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is as huge as it can get with countless superheroes and superhero teams and the many iterations of them in the comics as well as on the big screen. Yet the Avengers have remained the top-tier team in both formats, closely followed by the band of space misfits, the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers
Both teams have often found themselves pitted against each other in one or the other fan discussions. Although there have been a few instances where both teams went head to head, there hasn’t been a clear winner. Yet James Gunn, writer-director of the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, reckons that the Guardians would be a clear winner in such a fight.

James Gunn has been the head of Dcu for some time now but the American filmmaker has failed to give a blockbuster thus far. As a result, DC Studios still waits to be in a comparable rivalry with the Marvel Cinematic Universe because as of now, Marvel is dominating the industry.

In order to start things over, Gunn recently decided to reboot the DC Cinematic Universe in The Flash movie. As a result, we saw a lot of actors bid farewell to their roles.
James Gunn talked to Joe Manganiello about his future as Deathstroke
Although he did not have a big part in the Dceu, Joe Manganiello portrayed the iconic role of Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke in Jack Snyder’s Justice League in 2017. After his cameo appearance in the movie, Manganiello was supposed to play the primary villain of Ben Affleck‘s Batman movie, but that project was eventually scrapped.

There’s no denying that Kevin Conroy left an indelible mark on superhero media.
As the definitive voice of DC Comics’ Batman/Bruce Wayne in most animated iterations, films and shows included, and video games, his absence continues to be mourned. Not only was he deemed the ultimate Batman actor, but his perspective on the character showcased the nuance with which the Batman: The Animated Series alum depicted him.

Kumail Nanjiani is recalling the release of Marvel’s Eternals and revealing he had to go to counseling following the negative reviews the Chloé Zhao film received.
“I had the best time doing that movie, and I realized this is how work should feel like,” Nanjiani said during an appearance on the Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum podcast. “However, when that movie came out and the reviews weren’t good, that was very, very tough for me and I realized that too much of how I’m evaluating what I want to do is based on the result of what other people think of it.”
Eternals was released in 2021, and it starred Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Kit Harington, among others. The film currently has a 47% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Kumail Nanjiani has opened up about the mental toll of promoting Chloé Zhao’s Marvel movie, Eternals, amidst negative reviews, revealing that it resulted in him seeking counseling.
“The reviews were really bad,” Nanjiani remembered, during an appearance on Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum. “I was too aware of it. I was reading every review [and] checking too much.”
Unfortunately, Marvel expected the movie would be well-reviewed and lifted the embargo early, so Nanjiani and his castmates were sent on “a big global tour” to coincide with anticipated positive press. This meant the actors were thrown right in the thick of promoting the first MCU film to be certified rotten on Rotten Tomatoes.
By Nanjiani’s estimation, there was “some weird soup in the atmosphere” for why Eternals got panned, and “not very much of it has to do with the actual quality of the movie.” Still, the actor took the criticism “really,...

The 2021 Marvel Cinematic Universe film “Eternals,” directed by Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao, was among the first in that series to meet predominantly negative reviews. When Eternals was released in the fall of 2021, it marked an all-time low Rotten Tomatoes score for the MCU. Having just come off of a 79% for Black Widow and a 92% for Shang-Chi to lead both Phase Four and the Multiverse Saga, Eternals earned the first-ever “rotten” score for the Marvel Cinematic Universe: a 47%. It was a shock to the franchise’s system but it may have had a far greater impact on star Kumail Nanjiani, who continues to bring up Eternals at therapy.

Actor Kumail Nanjiani has been reflecting on the bad press Marvel’s Eternals got, and how he had to seek therapy to cope.
Kumail Nanjiani was part of the rather large ensemble cast of Marvel’s Eternals. The film was directed by Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao and Marvel had high hopes for it; Marvel chief Kevin Feige, for example, was reportedly in awe of Zhao’s style of filmmaking and in theory, Eternals would have pushed Marvel from mass entertainment to… mass entertainment with a “From Oscar winning director” in its trailer.
However, Eternals was received pretty poorly. The film holds a 47 percent critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, with much criticism aimed at the convoluted story and bloated runtime. Audiences didn’t really connect with the film either; Eternals grossed just over $400 million at the global box office, but it had a price tag of $272.6 million.

We all love a good superhero origin story. Sure, it’s great to see Spider-Man swing from buildings, but it’s what Uncle Ben tells a young Peter Parker that touches us all. We all love seeing Batman kick the Joker’s teeth in, but we are all fascinated by that tragic night in Crime Alley. So it’s no surprise that the first and greatest superhero of all time should have a TV show about what defines him. There is a reason why Clark Kent is the best of us. While Batman may be the ultimate example of physical perfection, Superman is the pinnacle of the goodness of humanity. But fans have always debated: is Superman Clark Kent, or is Clark Kent just a disguise? I have always argued Superman is just a cape. Clark is the hero who wears it. Smallville is the case for my belief in...
