Tom returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine's night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders, and it seems like his old flame is the only one that believes he's innocent.
Eight unsuspecting high school seniors at a posh boarding school, who delight themselves on playing games of lies, come face-to-face with terror and learn that nobody believes a liar - even when they're telling the truth.
Co-star Jamie Chung said in a 2012 interview that she refused to go nude for this film because she is against gratuitous nudity of any kind. But she added she wouldn't rule out nudity in the future. "There's always room for negotiation, but if it doesn't really help with my character and it's not really necessary, no, I'll pass. Or, like the scene from Monster's Ball or Monster that requires nudity but really, oh God, it's just open and raw and it's appropriate for that character and tells a story, then absolutely." Scream meets I know what you did last summer meets Urban Legends
This film is nothing original.
But then what teenage slasher film is. And for that reason only I give this film 7 out of 10. I feel giving a movie of this style a poor review is cutting it short for the credit it should get. It is well shot, the death sequences are well put together and inventive, there are the comical moments, characters you hate and can't wait to meet there makers and the who is the murderer guessing game.
Don't get me wrong the film is not special, it's no Oscar nominee and has so many plot holes it is swiss cheese but what you do get is a fun slasher flick that won't let you down as long as you don't expect too much from it.
