This is an interesting view of America circa 1967. It was produced by 'United Air Lines' (yes the words are shown separately), and I can only assume it was meant to entice potential travelers to 'fly United' to get to the destinations featured in the film.

Those destinations are varied and the camera doesn't linger anywhere for very long. It begins in the northeast, but in Boston, ignoring Maine and the rest of New England. After a few highlights it moves to NYC, then Pennsylvania, D. C., and so on, eventually going all the way to Hawaii.

All of the views are 'birds eye' as if you are seeing them from a plane, but not at 30,000 feet (that would be a bit too high). And although it tries to cram in as many landmarks as possible, some are left out (the Gateway Arch in St. Louis being one example). It also fails to include Alaska, which is kind of shocking, given all of the natural beauty it has. I wonder if maybe United didn't fly to Alaska in the 1960s.

Overall, not a bad travelogue of the time period. The color isn't the best, though, and of course this was not shot in HD, so it can't compare to film shot today.

6/10. Would I watch again (Y/N)?: It wasn't bad.

Maybe on a rainy day.
