Since her college days, Laida (Sarah Geronimo) fantasizes on Miggy Montenegro (John Lloyd Cruz) who later becomes her demanding grouchy boss when she starts work as magazine assistant editor. Laida soon finds that Miggy is a tyrant, but she has a very special love for him that she blindly does her best to win his heart. Laida learns that Miggy feels discriminated by his family, his mother being only a mistress that Miggy is obsessed and strives to be number one. Miggy resents Art (Rowell Santiago), his elder brother and chairman of the board, for making him prove himself with a losing men's magazine. With her positive and endearing ways, Laida helps Miggy to loosen up by teaching him to first love himself to be able to love others.
