- TriviaAt the end of their interview, interviewer Sarah Greene asked magician David Copperfield if he and Claudia Schiffer could perform an illusion for her. In response to her request, David performed an illusion called The Zig-Zag Girl. In this illusion, he locked Claudia in a tall upright box with holes in the front for her face, hands and feet, inserted two blades through the box to divide Claudia into three pieces, and then removed her middle section.
- Quotes
Sarah Greene: You actually join David in his shows, don't you?
Claudia Schiffer: Yes, I take part in a number of illusions during the show.
Sarah Greene: So just what is it that he does to you? Does he saw you in half?
Claudia Schiffer: Yes, he does. First, he makes me float up in the air, vanish, and then reappear inside a glass box. Then he cuts my head off with a big guillotine, and then he saws me in half.
Sarah Greene: So, come on, David, you can tell us - Just how do you saw Claudia in half?
David Copperfield: [David smiles enigmatically] With a very sharp saw!
Claudia Schiffer: REALLY sharp!
[Claudia laughs]
Sarah Greene: Does it hurt when David saws you in half?
Claudia Schiffer: No, not really. He's really good at it, and the saw is really sharp, so I don't feel a thing as he saws through me - Although the divider blades are always a bit cold when he puts them in before pulling my halves apart.
David Copperfield: I'll make sure they're warmed up beforehand next time...
