Having left town out of fear for their safety, Charley Dixon's wife is kidnapped by Cromartie when they stop for gas. He contacts Sarah and she and Derek set off to help him. Her kidnapping has a very specific purpose however. On a leave of absence, Agent Ellison receives a call from Catherine Weaver who has a job offer for him at ZieraCorp. Elsewhere, John wants to spend some time alone with Riley and gives Cameron the slip when they are out shopping. But Cromartie is soon onto him however. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

The gas station Charlie stops at is within a few miles of the gas station from the The Terminator (1984) where Sarah fills up and has her picture taken. It is even closer to the gas station in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) where Sarah, John and the T101 hide for the night and remove bullets from the T101. It is even closer the gas station in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) where John and the T101 fill up and open the rear of Kate's truck to check on Kate. All of these gas stations are real gas stations except for the one Charlie stopped at; that one is a studio lot in the area. See more »

Goofs

At 18m 9s Cromartie says the mousetrap was invented in 1897 by James Atkinson. This is untrue. This basic style of mousetrap was patented a few years earlier in the United States by William Chauncey Hooker in 1894. Also, the closing speed of this type of trap is around 12 thousandths of a second, not 38. See more »

Quotes

Cameron Phillips: Your mother told me to keep an eye on you.
John Connor: Yeah well, that doesn't mean you have to go everywhere I do.
Cameron Phillips: Yes it does.
John Connor: Just because my mother said it doesn't make it so. I'm not a child anymore; I can go to the store or see a friend or do whatever the hell else people like me do.
Cameron Phillips: There are no other people like you.

The Mousetrap is the best "T:TSCC" episode so far this season!
2 October 2008 | by tavmSee all my reviews

When I wrote the comment for the last episode, I forgot to mention that Sonya Walger-who is best known to "Lost" fans (like me) as Penny there-returned as Charlie's wife Michelle. She gets kidnapped here by Cromartie in order to get to John. This is a very intense episode that's nail-bitingly suspenseful throughout. Great performances by all involved especially by Ms. Walger and Dean Winters as Charlie. There was also another appearance by Busy Phillips as the pregnant house owner who brought some needed humor in the beginning. Oh, and I once again have to mention how mature Brian Austin Green has become in his acting compared to his juvenile "90210"-days. The Mousetrap is the best episode of "Termnator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" so far this season. Very highly recommend!
