Believe it or not, those who have read the Twilight Saga find that the books are not as steamy as the movies portray. The movies took a step ahead to show that aspect of Edward and Bella’s relationship, and although many fans didn’t complain, there was something that didn’t sit right with Kristen Stewart, who was very particular and consistent with the guidelines that maintain a PG-13 rating.

Being primarily marketed towards a younger demographic, mostly teens and tweens, the novels were crafted by Stephenie Meyer with the intention of not delving much into explicit content while keeping it tasteful. Despite its poor reviews, Kellan Lutz's 2014 film The Legend of Hercules has found success on Netflix's Top 10 list. Lutz's filmography has had its ups and downs, with only a few movies earning positive critical reception. The film's value lies in its entertainment factor, showcasing Lutz's ability to find projects with wide appeal.
Kellan Lutz's The Legend of Hercules didn't sit well with critics, and this continued an unfortunate streak for the actor's movies. Lutz got his big break in Hollywood in the 2006 movie Stick It, and things quickly took off from there. He has since appeared in several movies nearly every year, and franchises like Twilight made him even more familiar to audiences. Unfortunately, leading up to The Legend of Hercules, Lutz was stuck in a pretty grim Rotten Tomatoes streak, and the 2014 film did nothing to improve it.

High School Musical 2: The sequel improved on an already near-perfect film, with character development and a deeper exploration of the pressures faced by the characters. The Twilight Saga: New Moon: Expanded the world of the Twilight Saga, delving deeper into the lives of vampires and werewolves, while also introducing more of the franchise's lore. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire: Further explored the world of Panem and the Games, providing a deeper understanding of the Games' morbid premise and showcasing the aftermath for the nation and its characters.
Over the years, plenty of great teen movies have expanded into a franchise, with the sequel being even better than the original. Whether it's the opinion of audiences, critics, or both, there's no doubt that some follow-up movies were just as good, if not better, than their predecessors. It’s a fairly packed month on Hulu this February thanks to the addition of some interesting TV shows from FX and ABC. While the streamer’s own original content is somewhat limited – Life + Beth is returning for season 2 – you can also catch the new series of Feud this month. The new installment in Ryan Murphy’s juicy anthology show is based on the bestseller Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era by Laurence Leamer, and tells the story of Truman Capote’s betrayal and fall-out with New York’s most glamorous socialites. The cast is absolutely stacked, with Naomi Watts, Diane Lane, Chloë Sevigny and Calista Flockhart all swearing delicious revenge on Tom Hollander’s Capote.
Also via Hulu in February comes the third season of Abbott Elementary, along with new episodes of The Connors, The Good Doctor, Will Trent,...

"I've never given much thought to how I would die, but dying in the place of someone I love seems like a good way to go." Now that's how you start a franchise!
Since 2008, the "Twilight" films have been a cultural mainstay for better and for worse. A film so beloved that cosmetics companies are selling out of "Twilight"-inspired collections in under 10 minutes 15 years later, and so hated that it inspired the $20 million studio-produced parody film "Vampires Suck." Few multi-billion dollar franchises are quite this polarizing, and even fewer have had as powerful of a cultural reclamation years later. Love them or hate them, the "Twilight" films are one of the most important products of the late 2000s and 2010s, and no amount of whining about vampires sparkling or commenting "still a better love story than 'Twilight'" is going to change that.

Movie franchises can experience massive box office jumps for their second release, signaling potential for long-term success. Franchises like Lethal Weapon, Pitch Perfect, and Austin Powers saw significant increases in box office gross for their second films. Sequels like Twilight: New Moon, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and Shrek 2 achieved remarkable success and became part of highly profitable franchises.
After having already won audiences over with the first film in a series, movie franchises can have massive jumps at the box office for their second release. With viewers already aware of the characters and what to expect out of a series, they are much more likely to turn up at the theater for a movie whose premise they are sure they will enjoy. With this in mind, some franchises have had absolutely astounding success the second time around and made double, triple, or in some instances almost five times their...

The 2010 San Diego Comic-Con was not the biggest gathering in the event's history, but in terms of its importance as a movie marketing event, this was the freakin' year. The gargantuan, hangar-sized Hall H, christened in 2004 as the home for star-studded studio panels, was packed on both peak days as major stars and filmmakers shilled the next two years' most anticipated genre titles. Friday was all about "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," which, with all its major stars present, turned into a shriek-filled presentation as deafening as The Beatles' 1964 appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show."
And then there was Saturday.
Warner Bros. kicked off the Hall H festivities with a buzzy panel that could've matched the "Twilight" delirium had the main Harry Potter trio of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint showed up for the "Deathly Hallows: Part I" preview. The day threatened to descend into chaos when a...

Taylor Lautner reveals that he had to re-audition for the role of Jacob in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, with the original plan being to recast him with someone older and more muscular. Lautner spent nine months packing on muscle mass and "hardcore working out," eventually winning back the role. Recasting actors can sometimes be jarring for audiences and the Twilight cast is also a big reason for the franchise's success.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon actor Taylor Lautner reveals that he had to re-audition for the sequel film in order to avoid being recast. Based on the hit book series by author Stephenie Meyer, the first movie in the hit Twilight franchise was released in 2008, chronicling the complicated love story of Kristen Stewart's Bella and Robert Pattison's Edward, a vampire. Lautner stars in all five movies in the franchise as Jacob, a werewolf who competes with Edward for Bella's affection.

Fangs, Forks, Washington and fall, oh my! The five “Twilight Saga” films set the mood for the fall season, so as Halloween nears, get ahead with the movie nights and marathons so that you have ample time to absorb all the broody, bloody love story this season. Fall is the perfect time to re-invest in the love triangle and vampire vs. werewolf drama that the five films, adapted from Stephanie Meyer’s four books, have to offer.
Come for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s romance, and stay for Taylor Lautner’s eager portrayal of Jacob the werewolf in the latter four films. Dakota Fanning makes a great member of the Volturi. Plus, now that the WGA has a deal with the AMPTP, the reboot television series of “Twilight” over at Lionsgate might start back up again soon.

Actors often regret filming certain scenes in movies due to unpleasant experiences or negative audience reactions. Ben Stiller regrets his nude scene in Along Came Polly because he wasn't informed about the possibility of using a body double. Margot Robbie regrets a love scene in The Wolf of Wall Street because she got numerous paper cuts from fake money and wishes they had used real money instead.
Filming a movie can be an exciting experience, but there are many cases where actors end up regretting filming some scenes, and there are different reasons for that. In every movie, there’s always a scene that can either make or break the whole project, and its success or failure depends on different factors: the actor’s performance, the script, the direction, and even the lighting. However, behind every memorable movie scene, there’s not always a happy or fun story, as more often than not,...

The original Victoria actress in the Twilight films, Rachelle Lefevre, was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard due to scheduling conflicts during the filming of Eclipse. Lefevre was disappointed by the decision and expressed her commitment to the role, turning down other opportunities to ensure her availability for the franchise. Fans have mixed opinions on the replacement, with some praising both actresses for their interpretations of the character, while others feel the recasting was unnecessary and jarring in terms of appearance and portrayal.
The Twilight film series wasn’t safe from mid-franchise recasting, and the first Victoria Twilight actress was one who went through that process. The process didn't go unnoticed by fans of the franchise. Twilight introduced a number of characters – vampires, humans, and werewolves. The cable network’s annual 31 Nights of Halloween lineup features 18 showings of Hocus Pocus, the beloved 1993 film starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy — and while that may seem like a lot, keep in mind that Freeform aired the Walt Disney flick a whopping 30 (!) times in 2019. (Of course, you can watch Hocus Pocus, as well as its 2022 sequel, as many times as you’d like with a Disney+ subscription, but who are we to suggest a commercial-free viewing experience?...

The wait for AMC’s Dark Winds Season 2 is almost over. The brand-new second season of the hit Western noir crime thriller, renewed soon after the first season was released, is now all set to arrive this July. Created by Graham Roland of Jack Ryan fame, Dark Winds is based on Tony Hillerman’s popular novel series Leaphorn & Chee. The dark, psychological crime series is set in the 1970s in a remote town in the Navajo Nation and follows a series of inexplicable, violent crimes including murders and robberies. Zahn McClarnon (Longmire) and Kiowa Gordon (The Twilight Saga: New Moon) play the two tribal police officers, Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee, respectively, who investigate the cases. The further they dig, the more it extends beyond the physical and seems more surreal, shaking their own spiritual beliefs and pushing them to rediscover themselves.

Dwayne Johnson is one of the most marketable stars currently working in Hollywood, but he's actually had 10 major movies that flopped at the box office. Although Dwayne Johnson has been in plenty of massive financial success, that isn't always the case, as almost every actor is destined to have at least one box office bomb in their career. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's track record is far from perfect, as these 10 box office bombs featuring the actor flopped hard.
Dwayne Johnson got his start as a professional wrestler, quickly rising to the top as one of the most recognizable contenders in the ring. The Rock's massive personality helped him make the jump to movies, with his film debut occurring in 2001's The Mummy Returns. Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, Dwayne Johnson starred in a series of action films and family movies, which were mostly moderate box-office successes that were met with a mixed reception by critics.

Sony had been planning to give director Chris Weitz’s horror film They Listen a theatrical release on August 25th of this year, which is why we have it listed on our Summer Horror Movie Preview… but we’re going to have to remove it from that list, because Sony has (according to Yahoo) decided to delay the release an entire year. They Listen is now set to reach theatres on August 30, 2024.
They Listen is coming to us from Sony, Blumhouse, and Depth of Field. Weitz is producing the film with Jason Blum and Andrew Miano. Bea Sequeira, Dan Balgoyen, Britta Rowings, and Paul Davis serve as executive producers. Filming was already underway in Los Angeles back in December, so this movie is going to be complete and sitting on a shelf a while before its new release date rolls around next year.
All details about They Listen are being kept under wraps.

While it might seem that Fast X has run out of gas in the States, it’s totally turbo-boosted overseas as the 10th installment in the Universal franchise is eyeing a an offshore start of $235M and $60M+ domestic. That would get Fast X to $295M worldwide, making it the third-best global start for a Fast & Furious movie after 2017’s Fate of the Furious ($541.9M) and 2015’s Furious 7 ($397.6M).
And that’s nothing to be ashamed about despite any smacking of franchise fatigue. It’s a start that would beat such movies such as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Justice League, and The Twilight Saga: New Moon. As always, Fast X is a part of multicultural-appealing jewel crown for Universal and will overindex stateside with Latino, Hispanic and Black moviegoers.

The Twilight franchise was one of the hottest, and most talked about franchises for five years. While many were enraptured by the fantasy world of vampires, werewolves, and love triangles, the series also had some scenes that hadn't aged well or were considered in bad taste, to begin with.
Here we will look at some of the more problematic scenes featured in the films and analyze how the upcoming television series can avoid making the same mistakes. We'll be focusing on scenes that feature sexual themes, as well as the romantic storylines that are featured throughout the series.
Bella & Edward's Coerced Marriage
Towards the end of The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009), Bella has barely survived ordeals with evil vampires, a divide between supernatural creatures, and the judgment of the Volturi, a council of elderly vampires. Bella has decided that she wants Edward to turn her into a vampire, though Edward seems reluctant to do so.

The Twilight Saga might be getting a television reboot, once again igniting the long-dormant love story found in Stephenie Meyer's beloved series of books. As potentially exciting as this new reboot sounds, there still remains a massive following behind the original movies starring major names like Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner.

Well, Twilight fans: looks like the wolf's out of the bag. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a TV adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling book series is currently in the works at Lionsgate Television, per sources.
The series is reportedly in early development with very few confirmed details, including a network/platform or a writer, but insiders told THR that Meyer is expected to be involved. Wyck Godfrey and former Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Copresident Erik Feig are also said to be attached to executive produce the television project. Reps for Lionsgate did not immediately respond to Popsugar's request for comment.

The Twilight Saga ran its course on the big screen, with five movies telling the story of the four books in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. While there are some side stories and reimaginings that could still be brought to the screen, the main tale has been told. Now ten and a half years have gone by since the release of the last film in the franchise… and that means the story is ripe for a re-telling. That’s clearly what Lionsgate Television believes, anyway, as The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that a Twilight TV series is in development!
The Hollywood Reporter notes that the Twilight TV series is in its infancy and does not yet have a network/platform or a writer as sources say the studio, which controls the rights to the franchise, plans to lead the development on the project before shopping the rights to the package.

When Stephenie Meyer's Twilight books were in development to become the Twilight movie franchise, the author insisted that certain aspects of her novels could not change in the films. Meyer not only made her opinions known but often blocked the films' creators from making particular choices and worked closely with writers to ensure scenes and characters were written to her liking. Many of Meyer's decisions concerned how characters were represented, both in terms of physical appearance and on-screen behavior. While some of Meyer's opinions seem small and like the weirdly specific desires of someone close to the original story, others seem more serious and problematic.
Stephenie Meyer wrote the original Twilight book series from 2005 to 2008 and worked on the highly successful Twilight movie adaptations from 2008 to 2012. The story follows shy high schooler, Bella Swan, as she moves to Forks, Washington, and quickly becomes entangled with the mysterious Edward Cullen.

Anna Kendrick is known for her roles in blockbuster movies like the Pitch Perfect franchise, Trolls, and A Simple Favor. However, many fans remember her appearance in the Twilight movies — including one scene that involved a graduation speech that Kendrick revealed was supposed to be improvised.

Kendrick played Jessica Stanley in the mega-popular Twilight films. Jessica was one of main character Bella’s (played by Kristen Stewart) high school friends and appeared in New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn — Part 1.
In Eclipse, Kendrick delivers a standard valedictorian speech, discussing growing up and figuring out who the students want to be when they grow up. The actor stayed on script while filming the scene but recently revealed the producers wanted her to do something a little different.
Just wanted to wish Anna Kendrick a happy birthday before it hits #Twilight.
