- The cut shown at the Atlanta Film Festival in April of 2008 was 108 minutes long without credits. This version contained: an expanded funeral sequence where Rody placed a red mix-tape into Wendy's coffin/later Patrick stealing the mix-tape from the coffin/an awkward post funeral conversation at Wendy's parents house between her father and the leads/a sequence of Brian walking home and Addy picking him up on the side of the road/a long transitional montage of Addy playing the piano previous to Carol's date/Patrick and Carol deciding to hide Wendy in Rody's sister's room. Additionally, many scene heads and tails were deleted from the Atlanta cut to achieve the current 105 minute runtime (with credits).
- Due to music rights issues, Leah High's cover of the Brian Eno song "St. Elmo's Fire" only appears in the USA/Canada Release version of the film. All other releases contain the replacement song "Honest Fool" written by Jordan Lehning and performed by Leah High.
