- There is an unrated version on Blu-Ray that shows even more gruesome, over-the-top violence and gore than the theatrical version.
- A woman in a bathtub drops boiling water on her body, where the skin is observed with blisters and burns.
- Recommended only for those who can stomach lots of gore.
- While the original film's violence was pretty over-the-top and almost comical, this film's violence is extremely realistic and shocking.
- More violent than the older one
- A man is stabbed in the chest by a possessed girl.
- In the ending kill, a girls killed by a chainsaw. Although we see tons of blood spray, no gore is seen since it is dark and rainy.
- A deadline splits their tongue open with a box cutter. Very gory and graphic.

- In the book there is a drawing of a nude woman displaying breast nudity.
- The abomination takes a form of a nude woman displaying bare breasts.
- Nothing is shown, though a snake like bundle of vines is shown crawling up and disappearing into her skirt. It is insinuated that it enters her.
- A possessed character states "Why won't you come down here and let me suck your cock pretty boy?" followed by "Your little sister is being raped in hell!"
Violence & Gore
- Violence throughout. Guns, chainsaws, etc... buckets and buckets of blood. Characters have to kill one another to get rid of demons, raining blood! Nearly all major characters are murdered.
- A woman has her hand bitten into by a Deadite. We see blood
- A woman falls into a network of bushes with thorns, it is observed that the tree has life and holds the woman by the legs and arms
- A woman vomits blood in the face of another woman, very graphic
- A man buries a possessed woman alive to rid her of the Kandarian demon. He quickly digs her back up and uses a makeshift defibrillator made from a car battery and syringes to resurrect her.
- In a recreated scene from the 1981 original, tree branches and roots come to life and tie up a woman. Then, a ghastly apparition vomits a black tentacle that forces itself between her legs.
- A possessed woman is bathed in gasoline and burned alive, very intense and scary
- A possessed women mutilates her face by cutting away at her skin with a knife, you can see inside her mouth from the results and a lot of blood, EXTREMELY GRAPHIC
- A woman has her arm trapped under a car and she pulls her arm out, graphically severing the limb so she can escape. Aftermath shown
- A woman cuts her possessed hand of with a turkey carver. Similar to the scene from Evil Dead 2 but far more graphic. We see the carver dog in with an absurd amount of blood spraying. She stands up and the arm is only attached by a tendon, it then falls off. The same person a while later, now a deadite, has her other arm shot off with a shotgun. Blood sprays.
- A character shoves a chainsaw through a demonic entities head. Blood and gore sprays everywhere. The demonic entity is split nearly in two. VERY BLOODY.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- A woman looks in a mirror and the face of a demon with an open mouth looks, the glass then explodes.
- A woman cuts half of her face and cheek with a knife, a man finds her, she attacks him with a needle inserting it in his eye, the man in defense bashes her head with a ceramic lid until death, very graphic and lots of blood.
- A man is attacked by a possessed woman with a metal tube, she hits him on the head and he puts his hands up, breaking his fingers and bones, very graphic and bloody
- They find the dog dead under the shed, a bloody hammer was found next to it which insinuates the poor dog got his head bashed in. After finding the dog you see a glimpse of the woman hitting the dog with the hammer.
- A girl chops off her hand.
