Holmes and Watson are visited by Dr. Mortimer, who consults them regarding the death of his patient, Sir Charles Baskerville, who believed an ancient curse on the family was being fulfilled. Mortimer is in London to accompany the Baskerville heir Henry back to his new home, but sinister forces are at work, including a warning to stay away, and a mysterious theft at Sir Henry's hotel.
Did You Know?
The letter that Sir Henry received showed the words pasted from individual letters, with "moor" written out by hand. The letter should have had whole words pasted in, with the reason "moor" was written was that it was not found in the article from which the words were taken. The Props Department created the letter inconsistent with the plot. See more
