Paris Hilton's British Best Friend (2009– )
The veteran British actor's new programme Trinity was scheduled to broadcast in the U.K. earlier this year but it was delayed until September - and replaced by the heiress' show Paris Hilton's British Best Friend.
Dance is now calling for the end of reality shows after catching a glimpse of Hilton's "c**p" programme, in which the blonde sets tests for a group of wannabes in the search for a true pal.
He says, "We're putting too much energy into junk and reality television. This show was going to be shown in January or February. But they shelved it until September to put you know what in its place? Paris Hilton's British Best Friend, which is possibly the most execrable piece of television I've ever seen in my life. God knows what the ratings were. It's a piece of television for airheads, starring an airhead.
"It's just beyond me. Endless hours of reality television - surely by now there must be a consensus that it's c**p?"
Kat McKenzie, the runner-up in the 2009 reality contest, died suddenly on Friday. The cause of death is as yet unknown.
The hotel heiress told reporters she was "deeply saddened" by McKenzie's passing, insisting: "She will be missed."
Hilton promised McKenzie, an ex-pole dancer, they would always remain close friends on the TV programme earlier this year.
The hotel heiress has already found herself new pals in the U.S. via MTV show Paris Hilton's My New Bff, and she took her quest for friendship across the Atlantic to the U.K. to shoot Paris Hilton's British Best Friend last year.
But now she's set to add another pal to her entourage after signing on to film a new reality programme in the Middle East, titled Paris Hilton's My New Bff - Dubai, reports Daily Variety.
A source close to Paris, 27 - who is in Britain promoting her new reality TV show "Paris Hilton's British Best Friend" - said: "Paris had spoken directly with Harry to arrange their meeting."
"She was pretty annoyed that Harry blew her off but they may well meet on her next trip to London."
"She has been in touch with Harry since they met in London last year and has even had an invite back to his Clarence House home."
Firstly, congratulations on your historic win. I have never been so behind a candidate for what must be considered the boss of the world.
You seem to be a man of grace and integrity, who would never shirk responsibility in any way.
I'll get to the point.
As I'm sure you are aware, one of your flock has strayed. A Miss Paris Hilton, who is, I believe, a resident of Beverley Hills, is in England doing a reality game show for ITV2 called Paris Hilton's British Best Friend. Fine. I have no problem with that. I don't have to watch. But now it has come to my attention that she has bought a house in North London a few miles from me, and is out and about ingratiating herself with the Great British public.

And according to British tabloid the Sunday Mirror, Hilton plans to spend another $365,000 (£250,000) improving the property.
Hilton can expect a host of celebrity neighbours at her new address - local residents include Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, Blur rocker Graham Coxon and Winehouse.
A source tells the publication, "Paris started looking for a base when she was last in the U.K. to film her reality show, Paris Hilton's British Best Friend.
"She wanted lots of room for her friends from L.A. to sleep over. She will be spending a lot of the time in the U.K., so she wants somewhere comfortable and quiet similar to her place in L.A."
Paris said: "Britney looked cool with no hair."
In the series, Paris is trying to find a best friend who lives in the U.K.
The hotel heiress - who was at one time close to Britney - admits she finds it difficult to make friends she can really trust.
