In Paris, on May 14th 1610, at 2:15 p.m., king Henri IV is murdered by a fanatical catholic named Ravaillac, a fragile mind influenced by the violent sermons heard at the time. That day, Henri IV could think of only one thing: find the woman he loved and try to stop her from leaving. Pressed from all sides to sort out the most urgent matters of the kingdom of France, he escaped in Paris in a carriage, without an escort, disregarding the danger hanging around every street corner. His death, instigated by religious radicals to stir up hatred will appease, against all odds, the disputes that existed between catholics and protestants. Written by Happy_Evil_Dude

good work

like each episode. it is example of measure between real facts and romanticized sauce. good cast, nice performance, a lesson in docu-drama clothes. or, little more because the heart of series is not only present a key history moment but to understand events as seeds of present. it is a remarkable work. and honest way to present past as shadow of present. this case is not an exception. only a form of use for more relevance of details. and , far to be extraordinary, it is touching and delicate speech about old times not as lecture or educational game, but as circle of things, gestures and words who lost its death. immortal events as windows of our period.
