- Suzu is briefly seen in a bathtub, but we only see her shoulders. No nudity visible.
- A man removes his shirt in one sequence, showing scars from childhood surgeries. Non-sexual, and no private parts are seen.

- A teenage girl vomits and falls to the ground from a panic attack after she attempts to sing.
- A teenage girl defends two boys from their abusive father. The father angrily attempts to rip her away from his sons, resulting in one of his nails tearing through the girl's cheek. Blood is shown.
- There's some action in the virtual world but it is stylized and by no means gory. Characters simply freeze and disintegrate into pixels when destroyed.

- Though not explicitly shown, a father physically abuses his two sons. This is represented by bruise-like patterns on the back of a character's avatar in the virtual world.

- The main character's mother is shown to have died while rescuing a child from the rapids of a flooding river. You see her run into the water and only the child returns alive. Heartbreaking scene.
