I loved season 1 but to my surprise the show wasn't canceled despite not creating as much buzz and I'm glad we got another season, because I said earlier this could become fan favorite. I also think you'll enjoy it better if you don't compare it to sex Ed. 6 episodes in and Season 2 definitely isn't as good as the first, story wise it's still more of the same drama but the dialogue now leaves a little more to be desired. I don't usually call shows woke because it feels trite to say so now, but the show feels like it time traveled from 2012 to 2022 side of twitter. It hasn't gone so far off into that side so I'm still enjoying it, but it's pretty noticeable. The worst part is just that there a little bits of conversations that don't add anything to the show that could've been cut out. It just seeps out here and there. Like the dialogue about saying winter holidays instead of Christmas or some but not all of the queer conversations, feels like the writers went out of their way to put them in while still trying to make it lighthearted and funny but it fails at that. Other than that it's pretty much what you'd expect coming in from s1 and I'm still riding the wagon for this.
