I normally hate tear-jerkers, but this one seduced me and kept me watching. Is it only 9 episodes, or will there be more? The idea of a protagonist on the Autistic Spectrum struck me as pretty audacious. Bringing it off would mean walking the tightrope between sentimentalizing or idealizing the condition, or making the character ridiculous in one way or another. "Move to Heaven" stays on the tightrope through all nine episodes! Han Geu-ru, a 20-year-male showing Asperger's Syndrome, works with his father, a retired firefighter, in the business of "trauma cleanup" -- clearing out apartments or dwelling spaces of the recently deceased. Requesting clients are usually landlords or neighbors of individuals, most often the lonely poor, found dead. Geu-ru's father, Han Jeong-u, has instilled in Geu-ru his own respect for the departed, via simple ceremony and a well scripted procedure for the job. (It's difficult to give a review of this movie without a spoiler! ) The series follows the character development of Geu-ru and his uncle, the thuggish half- brother of Jeong-u. I loved it, but I'll have to leave it there.
