Three uppity influencers visit some pretty cool places and babble non-stop about how "gorgeous" and "amazing" everything is. I love travel shows and seeing really interesting places, but this show sucks. Who the heck are these people anyway? Why should I care what their opinions are? Apparently they're "experts" but they never really do anything to show it. There's nothing informative or entertaining about them. The places they visit are cool but I don't need 3 rando's cackling and going on about how cool it is. I can see that. Tell me something interesting! Show me you're an expert. Inform me! If you wanna see some cool places just watch it on mute.

Would be better with Less talking
lakicia19 June 2021
As a traveler, I really wanted to like this. Instead I find myself just fast forwarding and jotting down the spots they go to.
Maybe it would be more enjoyable if the 3 people were more relatable or less cookie-cutter "influencer". They all sound so scripted. And instead of just enjoying the locations, they talk A LOT. ...even talking during massages in Bali. Lol
5 stars because of the location selections and the excellent drone shots. Would be higher if they change up the travelers. Right now it just feels like you're listening to people reading a script and "acting" cool and relaxed.
Such a shame. Had potential.

Strangely addictive
Don_Falone198522 October 2021
I totally understand the majority of reviews complaining about the hosts way OTT excitable nature, but it's honestly a really easy watch and an addictive show. Don't get me wrong, some of the locations are far too expensive for your normal average Jo, but for someone like me who's a passionate traveller and loves seeing the world, it certainly inspires you and makes you want to travel more. I was pausing it, Googling quiet a few places a number of times. It's nothing ground breaking and the hosts are a little annoying, but for some of the locations being so spectacular, it's well worth a watch.
Influencers with no budget
Calicodreamin20 June 2021
It gets worse as you go, the commentary is scripted and without insight. They three influences merely say "wow" or "incredible" to literally everything. The budget is nonexistent and for the most part leagues out of what a normal person could pay for accommodations.
It still gets 5 stars for some of the truly breathtaking vacation homes and scenery ( a few that were budget-able). It would be better to watch on mute!

Beautiful properties, idiotic hosts
zombienic24 June 2021
If I hear Luis say "what a life!" once more I'll scream! 3 unknown rich "friends" who have no idea what a budget is say the same 5 words and phrases in every episode. They only say how much the property costs per night, completely ignoring that it costs money to get there as well. The hosts are annoying and have no personality. The rentals are stunning, wish they gave more info on them. Hosts are out of touch with real world people, claiming these luxury vacations are living the simple life. Great show for rich kids or anyone who has no grasp on reality. Luis always has to bring up his job in New York-no one cares!! Would be much better if the show had no commentary or actual experts! I can't believe Netflix paid for these morons to travel the world. I've never seen 3 people so out of touch and so immature.
Target audience
fatfish-4157219 June 2021
This just feels like on long instagram influencers story. It feels super fake and oddly pretentious given they stay in economy lodgings along with the luxury spots. Also it really wasn't that informative, most of the semi useful information is just thrown on screen and the hosts just keep saying everything is beautiful without showing any ability to expand on that thought. You could do youtube top 10 lists for a lower budget and they would be just as informative.
YouTube quality travel vlog
residentcritic19 June 2021
YouTube quality travel vlog, following three unknown random people that no one ever heard about, each choosing one location to visit.
One of them is a travel expert (laughable), one is real estate and one cooks. But they never really give any 'expert' opinions or elaborate what makes them 'experts'.
All in all, seems like three random people got together on Craigs list and thought - how can we make Netflix pay for our vacation. If they were at least friends - it would possibly create some funny moments and dynamics, but no. Its boring as hell.

Really Annoying and boring
marcovinicio-7492129 June 2021
The show would work without the presenters. It feels like a long Instagram story about really annoying gen z people that got the accommodation for free in exchange of "exposure". Cannot believe Netflix spent money buying such crap programme. Is not even worth the time I am putting on this review.
Cool places but annoying «cast»
caroline_chupaa4 July 2021
I can't stand the whole fake "vacation" influencer thing.
Three thirty-something acting like everything they see is amazing and stunning 24/7.
Look a bird, whoaaa amazing!!! Totally feel like a typical American ad.
And the whole salmon comment"best in the whole world" - yeah sure - Alaska has good salmon but it's not nearly as good and clean as the fish in Norway.

Cringe!
arca-5969924 June 2021
Remove the three cringy inexperienced(in hosting) children that couldn't expand a thought if their life dependent on it. Bring an experienced person, perhaps British? With a soothing voice. Do more research on the places. And then you might have a show. An example of a show that does this well is "The World's Most Amazing Homes". Look I get it if you are targeting a younger demographic you want young people hosting and I agree so consider hosts that are actually talented! A well deserving 1 star as 6.5 you currently have is suuuuper high...so yeah.
Hosts ruin it
fee-fi23 June 2021
There is no doubt that the locations visited are amazing. This could be a fabulous, engaging and entertaining show - if not for those absolutely dreadful hosts. Know your audience. We arent teenagers and you shouldn't be acting like we are. Who are they trying to impress with that ridiculous carry on? Very amateurish. Super annoying. The concept is intriguing but I could not endure more than 1 episode.
Wrong Hosts

Painful to watch (more like listen to!)
sodsrnk26 June 2021
This show has so much potential, the concept of the different styles of vacation rentals at the one destination is great too. Such beautiful properties.
But the hosts.... I could not get past the first episode. Incredibly annoying, inexperienced kids and child like reactions. And way too much nonsensical chit chat. I can understand why people think it's very much like one big Instagram ad but I really think it's because of the choice of hosts
Such a shame because I want to watch the rest but I just can't get myself to listen to them any longer!

You have to decide whether seeing some neat homes is worth listening to the pretentious hosts.
planktonrules14 January 2022
The idea behind "The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals" isn't bad. The show lets you see inside some of the most incredibly unusual homes you can rent...provided you have TONS of money to burn. A few of the homes are wonderful...and many are sterile and ultra-modern and not the sort of place 'normals' would enjoy. But either way....the homes are very interesting to see. That being said, the three hosts are influencers and seem to be difficult to relate to....and are more than a bit pretentious. In fact, I would assume most would see the trio as annoying and offering little. In hindsight, I think just showing the homes would have been more than enough and listening to their banter definitely turned me off.
One big ad

Watch it on mute
jukneviciute-vaiva19 June 2021
They are so fake, pretentious and out of touch. Drinking at the luxury vila and saying 'enjoy simple things in life' while private chef prepares dinner...
Places they visit and people they meet are super nice. Visuals are also really good. But 3 of them are just too much.

Narrow world view for a global show
chingisoh3 July 2021
The biggest insult to me was the segment on Japan. The property shown looked like it was built by an American or something and could have been some mansion in America for all I knew (even the owners were white). Barely a few minutes showing the two Japanese chef. I get that the episode was focusing on food but still, for the only time a country as interesting as Japan appeared, it was a disappointing effort to show the culture (skiing??).
They should have stuck to America.

Take your shoes off....
lillehille16 September 2021
Well I kind of enjoyed the show, but why is it mainly in the US? Lots of other fantastic places in the world I would have loved to see. And the title did suggest.
But what really bugs me about the show is how disrespectful the hosts are to the homes they visit (for free) They never take their shoes off! Not even when they visited the famous Glass house, we saw Luis put his feet up - with shoes - in the Mies van der Rohe Barcelona bed. REALLY??? That annoyed me so much!

Poor casting decisions
foxeightyeight28 June 2021
You'd be hard pressed to find three less likeable people on television. I like the premise of the show but the execution was phenomenally poor. Everything looks and feels scripted and performed by amature actors with repellent and fake "energy" and "enthusiasm." The shallow, surface level reactions of the three "experts" is so stilted and phony you end up wanting to punch them in the face 5 minutes into the show. Amazingly, it only gets worse as the show progresses.
Fake @$$ Influencers
LaMigraCartel27 June 2021
Do your self a favor and look at all the high scoring reviews. Click their names. You'll see they're all single review shill accounts from Netflix. They're paid to increase the score especially in dreadful garbage like this. Without the fake high scores this show would be sitting around 2-3.
Very Good Series
stevenhgeorge13 October 2021
Stop the bad reviews. Well Done Series, different, many places people have never seen or been to, inovative, enjoy the locations. Light and fun show. Simple and real. Beautiful women as host and a handsome guy. Shoot Season 3..Thanks Take me. Steven.
Yikes because the hosts have no chemistry
eppies28 June 2021
Would have been better to have hosts who were *actually friends* and could showcase their expertise. Netflix went with a very tired cookie-cutter framework for this show, and beyond the visuals it's very very boring. There's nothing compelling about this show.
No idea why this show is getting so much hate
juju-9622410 October 2022
Hugely enjoyable armchair traveller fluff with an engaging trio trying out super glamorous rentals for size and giving the viewer their personal take on each one, alongside the basic facts and figures. Each programme has a theme and features three different destinations in different price brackets.
The trio know their design history and it's a joy to see them, for example, beside themselves with excitement at the prospect of staying in a Frank Lloyd Wright house. They spend a night in each rental and get to try out local activities such as a wine-tasting experience or a boat trip. They look as though they're having a grand time and the mood is excitably upbeat.
Seriously, what's not to like?

Painful

I'm not sure what it is about this show, i like the concept and the theme of the show interests me, but it is so hard and painful to watch. The chemistry between the hosts is off, it's cringeworthy....
Its unwatchable.
Great locations. Bad hosts.
