Elliot Rodger did not "shoot six people to death"
He killed three of the six people he killed with a KNIFE and HAMMER. The two people he paralyzed were people he ran over with a car. He shot three of his victims dead, not six.
Really this series can't even get the basic facts correct. Also four of the six people he killed were men. Three of those killed were chinese roommates who themselves could also be called "incels."
And yes he had misogynist rants, but he also had several DIAGNOSED mental illnesses statistically associated with much higher rates of violence perpetration. The official report indicates he was on a strong dose of the drug risperidone which is a powerful antipsychotic, and had been taking since mid teens, but abruptly ended. As an adult he could not be forced, and his parents called police a dozen times trying to get him forced to be in treatment.
The real Rodger story is about the much higher threshold in the US for mandatory treatment of adults with serious mental illness thanks to the US ACLU making compulsory treatment almost impossible. If he had lived in Sweden, the EU or Australia he would have been under mandatory mental health treatment.
Not to say that relationship with women issues were irrelevant, but the core issue is the diagnosis of Rodger with PSYCOSIS and PSYCOTIC breaks, his prescription as a teen with powerful antipsychotics, and the that that his parents could not force him to continue once he reached adulthood.
