Slipshod porn, carelessly executed
TAKE THEM AS THEY ARE is the admonition made to describe (ironically) an acceptance of one's friends, during an argument between the two protagonists. It also carries a double meaning: the anonymous filmmakers are expressing their obvious "take it or leave it" approach to cinema, and that is what wise audiences must expect when dealing with porn.
The slapdash, generally improvised proceedings dwell upon a cretinous friend arriving with lots of drugs. He brings with him a woman who turns out to be an old gal pal of the heroine, cueing lesbian flashbacks and a renewal of their lesbian relationship.
Familiar faces John Dullaghan and Colleen Murphy in the lead roles do an okay job in an obvious one-day wonder, but the idiotic ending is truly insulting. Of course, the drugs all over the place get them into trouble, but the scene of cops arriving at the door for a bust is handled completely off-screen, as cheap as it gets.
